Fantastic Location. Felt like a "local", great neighbourhood.

Sandra and Leonardo were lovely hosts, very kind and helpful.

Plenty of hot water. Nice quality sheets, pillows and towels, very comfortable beds. Room spotlessly clean.

Great breakfast, we enjoyed meeting the other guests and a lovely chat at breakfast.

Wonderful restaurants in the local area.

Short walk to the vaparetto. Excellent maps supplied.

Lovely view of the canal and surrounding area as we had the lovely unit on the top floor with the roof deck.

Good Wi Fi.

Room Tip: Have a "treat" and stay in the room on the top floor with the roof deck.

It gives me great pleasure to write this review for Sandra and Leonardo. The moment we arrived at their beautiful home and received such a warm greeting we felt immediately at home ourselves. They are both charming, warm and friendly. We stayed in the Campiello Room, a very stylish room with lovely trimmings and artwork (I had tried to book the Atic Room, which I had read about on Trip Advisor, but I left it too late, it was already booked).
The bed linen is high end and the antique furniture, artwork and other collectables throughout the home are really something, so tasteful!
Sandra and Leonardo were so helpful with everything we were planning during our stay in Venice. Their advice was priceless and nothing was too much trouble. They would both put their heads together and discuss which option they thought would suit our plans for the day. Their advice on getting us to the Bus Terminal when we were leaving, was to get a private water taxi there. They suggested it would give us the opportunity to have a very good tour of Venice from the Canals while also getting us to the Bus Terminal with our luggage with virtually no effort (a very economical tour of Venice including transport to the Terminal). Sandra even booked the water taxi for us, called again the morning we were leaving to confirm it and Leonardo walked us down to meet the taxi on the canal (corner of the house). I still have the picture in my mind, when Sandra called down from her window, to Leonardo and asked him to tell the water taxi driver to point out where we had to walk to the Bus Terminal. Sandra and Leonardo thought of everything. That's what you call "Good Italian Hospitality". It's little wonder Sandra B&B has won the Trip Advisor "AWARD OF EXCELLENCE" in the "HALL OF FAME" category.
The property is very well located near the main canal, good shopping and restaurants
(we frequented "Paradisi Perditti - Best Seafood in Venice" just along the lane and over the little bridge) which is not so much a touristy restaurant, this is the area the locals come to eat.
My husband and I had read the Trip Advisor reviews on Sandra B&B back in 2011. We had planned travelling to Italy in June 2012, again in 2013 and 2014. A combination of elderly, ageing parents and business commitments we had to cancel each of these trips. We finally made it to Italy in 2015 but had to cancel the last week due to my husband's business which meant we missed Venice yet again. This year we added Venice in the first week of our Austria / Germany trip and "Yes" we finally made it to Sandra B&B. Definitely well worth the wait.

Room Tip: Book early. We had the Campiello Room which was lovely but I have read the Attic Room is even better. Must be good then.

On arriving at our location, our hosts were friendly and helpful- showing us to our rooms and answering all our questions.the room was beautiful- polished floors, vintage furniture and an olde world real Venetian feel.and the balcony gave amazing views around the city that are unrivalled and stunning. Bed was comfortable, air conditioning was a must as the weather was so hot, a shower in the lovely bathroom soon cooled us off.
Breakfast was fresh fruit, cereal, local cheeses and meats, and Sandra is a fantastic cook- fresh cooked produce that was home made and delicious.Area was next to a music hall which had events playing but did not interrupt sleep.
If this is your first or tenth visit I highly recommended this B&B, you will not be disappointed. We will go back there soon.

We loved our stay here- Sandra and Leonardo were so welcoming and hospitable. The room (canal view) was elegant, lovely and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious and the location was awesome- right on the corner of two canals in the Cannaregio district, so easy walking distance everywhere but also very quiet area away from more heavily-tourist areas around San Marco.

Room Tip: The canal-view room was lovely. I'm sure they are all equally epic!

Very pleased with our decision to stay here and spend a bit extra on the attic room.
This B&B is located a few minutes walk from the start of the hub bub and run by Sandra and Leandro. It is quiet and clean and the roof terrace of the attic room was welcome respite from the bustle of the sites and a lot of walking around.
It is only about a 10 minute walk from the ferry and 20 minutes from most of the sites (crowds permitting!) We found we could walk everywhere and didn't use water taxis.
Breakfast is a continental breakfast which you can help yourself to with the guests from the 3 rooms in the lounge of the accommodation. Coffee flows and the hosts cook your eggs to order and is plenty to set you up for a day of site seeing.
Have and would recommend to others.
