I loved staying at a quiet location, away from the swarm tourists. Rooms are clean and nice, bed a bit too hard, but that's something personal. Basic breakfast, not many tables, so you have to be lucky . People are not very warm; a smile is hard to find...

Just back from a trip to Venice and stayed at this lovely hotel. Because we were a family of 2 adults and 3 children, we actually stayed in one of their apartments just accross the canal. This was very modern and very spacious; two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
The staff in the hotel were excellent and the breakfast in the morning was very nice. Fresh pastries and breads and lovely coffee. It was served in a small dining room on china plates and cups which gave a really authentic feel.
As previous posters have said, the hotel is in a quiet area of Venice, which is great after being walking around the main sites of Venice all day. Just to clarify though, it is less than 5 minutes from the San Basillio vaporetto stop and you will pass a couple of nice restaurants on the way. We had a particularly nice meal in Osteria Toni's along the canal and it was very reasonably priced. The hotel is only 5 mins away for Campo Margheritta which has a good selection of resautants also.
There is also a very small cafe-type place beside Osteria Toni which was great to grab a coffee and panini during the day at a very cheap price.
Overall I would definitely recommend this charming hotel for a trip to Venice. I would especially suggest if you are travelling with children.
Thanks again to the hotel staff!

A beautiful old building filled with beautiful furniture and lots of hospitality. Located in a more residentail area, it gave us a real feel for liviing in Venice. Close enough to see many tourist sights including St. Marks Square and Rialto Bridge. Before arriving they were very helpful in answering a lot of questions for a first time visitor to Venice. We were only able to stay 1 night after our cruise, but it was a wonderful quick visit and restful night. Thank you Hotel Tiziano!

The location of the hotel is what attracted us to the Hotel Tiziano. We have previously stayed in Locanda San Barnaba, which was lovely, but this time decided to stay in a more remote section of the Dorsoduro. There's not much to add to the many reviews here, but in general:
1. The hotel is in very good condition and the staff is very friendly and welcoming.
2. If you don't like to walk, then this is not the place for you. We walk, on average, 10 km a day, so the extra bit at the beginning and end of the day to leave and return to the hotel is not an issue. It might, however, be an issue for some.
3. As much as the hotel is off the beaten path, it is still a quick walk to Campo S. Margherita and the Zattere.
4. Breakfast is standard Italian fare that you would have in many places.
5. Due to the quiet location, coupled with blackout curtains, it is easy to have a very good night's sleep.

Room Tip: 13 rooms in total, the top two of which are for families.

A lovely, quiet hotel slightly off the beaten track surrounded by beautiful canals and bridges. Even in mid August it was serene and perfect. The staff were just brilliant: helpful, kind and caring. The breakfast was freshly prepared and the rooms had everything you could need.
I would go back like a shot!

Room Tip: Watch the shower facilities in some of the twin rooms - on the top floor they did lack space!
