The owner was the sweetest most pleasant person ever!! She gave great information, spoke good English and was all around helpful. We initially arrived late so finding the hotel wasn't easy. It was in a narrow alley way. We had to find it by the building number. The room was large, clean and good for a nights sleep. In the morning, my family ate the snacks she provided in the room and we had tea and coffee which worked great for us. Since I live in Sicily, I'm use to the beds and lack of some comforts. Great location for the price of the room and easy to navigate around Venice. I would stay here again if visiting Venice because the location and price were good and the owner very nice.
I'm always real honest with my reviews so my concerns... My biggest concern was the lack of heat. I have a young child with asthma so heat is important. The heat was off and on for a bit but not often so it was freezing in the middle of the night and not enough blankets to stay warm. Next was the stairs.. They were a beast and I wasn't prepared!!! We were told 3rd floor but it's was more like the 5th. Water pressure in the bathroom was low but I can deal with that. If you watch tv, focus on sightseeing instead. Also remember, cash only!!More
