I can’t say enough about our wonderful experience at Hotel ai Reali. Perfectly located yet private enough to be the perfect spot for our Venetian getaway. Hotel was meticulous and well appointed. Breakfast was perfect each morning and the 8 course tasting we had the restaurant held its own with Michelin rated restaurants.
Above all, the staff was exceptional. They made my husband and I feel as if we were there only guests. I highly recommend.More

We had a weekend here, the bedroom was spacious with a view over the canal , the bathroom well appointed and the staff very helpful. The breakfast buffet was the same on both days and because of Covid restrictions a bit tedious but still pleasant enough . Overall this is a 1st class hotel which is very centrally located and a real pleasure to stay in.

Our family of 4 (2 adults & children aged 9 & 11) travelled to Venice for 2 nights. With such a short stay, I wanted a hotel (a) on a canal (b) 4* - 5* (c) traditional but still with modern comforts (d) close to everything! I did my research (as I always do!) and am so happy to say that the effusive reviews of this hotel are spot on! It far exceeded all our expectations. We caught private water taxi, arriving at the private pier (well worth the cost of E120). We arrived late Friday evening and were greeted with an upgrade. The suite was amazingly beautiful, with Murano glass chandeliers, views of the canal (king bed for us and sofa bed made up for the kids). As others have said, the hotel is less than 5 mins walk to Rialto Bridge and the associated shopping area as well as less than 10 mins to St Marco's square. Staff were exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable and helpful with top tips on sights to see. The hotel provided a free Murano glassblowing tour and associated walk through their factory (we were picked up by private water taxi - the factory was exquisite but we didn't buy anything from there, although I was in the market for a Murano vase).
Breakfast was lovely with all essential items you would expect from such a quality hotel. What a find!
First, let us express our sympathies for all the hotels in Venice that daily face the daunting challenge of meeting expectations of splendor and romance that exceed wildest imaginations stoked from a lifetime of fantasy images of gondolas plying the canals past stately palaces. Doubtless there are many visitors who believe the experience falls short of expectations.
Not so with Hotel Ai Reali. My wife and I are Hyatt Globalists, determined to reclaim a remembrance of the great civilizations and cultures that inspired a renaissance of progress in human history, places like Venice in the 18th century.
We disembarked from a water taxi near Rialto Bridge and wove our way thru crowded, stuffy alleys on an August afternoon until we reached a bridge leading to a peaceful plaza shared with a church (Note: next time, book a vaporetto direct to the hotel's exquisite canal entrance). An air of cool and calm enveloped us as we stepped into the pristine lobby staffed with crisp and polite professionals. Our room was elegant, clean, spacious and welcoming with a bottle of champagne awaiting the thirsty travelers. After collecting ourselves, we ventured out for the evening and discovered that neither the hotel map, nor our poorly connected GPS were sufficient to smoothly navigate back to the hotel (Note: Book a vaporetto or gondola back to the hotel -- your significant other will appreciate the romantic gesture, especially after a full meal and a bottle of wine, when the street lights are dimmed). There are many fine dining options in Venice, but certainly the most delicious and convenient for us happened to be the in-house Michelin star restaurant. Seated in an intimate dining room where my wife could watch gondolas gliding past the candle-lit windows, we opted for the chef's pre-fixe menu, and we glad we did. The dinner hour was our favorite in Venice, spent enjoying an amazing tour of Venetian bites paired with eight tastes of regional wines!
As we wrapped our visit to Venice, front desk staff at Ai Reali efficiently helped prep our printed travel docs and water taxi arrangements.

We looked for a hotel for a few nights stay before a Bike and Barge tour with Girolibero. Hotel Ai Reali was the perfect choice for many reasons. First, location was excellent and convenient for both walking and vaporetto. We were only 5 minutes from the Rialto Bridge but felt like a little corner all to ourselves. We booked a Superior Room but our traveling companions booked a classic room which was equally as well appointed and charming. No views but with all of Venice at your door it really didn't matter. Rooms were spotless. Moving about the hotel was simply cool to see the architecture and attention to keeping original details. Have drinks in the courtyard. Breakfast was excellent. The most important reason I give this hotel 5 of 5 is the staff. There was no question that couldn't be answered and no service that wasn't taken care of. The staff was extremely knowledgeable when looking for off the beaten path ideas and were excited that we wanted to tap into their experience. Taking a gondola from the lobby was an added wow on this one. Can't say enough good about this hotel.
