Just returned from a 3 night stay at this hotel. Cannot praise it enough. From the minute we walked through the door the overall experience was wonderful. The hotel is beautiful inside we had a Junior suite which was huge. We were greeted upon arrival with a welcome drink and a bottle of wine was left in our room. The breakfast was lovely plenty of choice. Every evening they have "happy hour" where they serve the guests a free buffet. We only tried it on our last night & the food was delicious. The staff here are second to none. Each and everyone of them were friendly and chatty and made our stay much more special. Well done to everyone at the Hotel do not change a thing you are all doing a wonderful job. Cannot recommend this place highly enough and can't wait to return.

Room tip: The hotel is in a quiet part of town so all rooms are good

Wow....

Hotel Moresco is probably the best hotel I've had the good fortune to visit. From the moment we checked in and were offered a welcoming drink to when we finally checked out on Sunday the staff couldn't do enough to help and ensure we had a memorable time in Venice.

The hotel is about a 5 minute walk away from the bus station and is very easy to find. (If your flying into Marco Polo airport then get the ATVO into Piazza Roma which takes 20mins, tickets can be bought online.).
The hotel is well placed by being close enough to walk to all the main locations in Venice but far enough away not to be effected by all the hustle and bustle of the city.
There are some excellent little bars & cafes nearby that don't charge stupid prices for drinks or meals. We were charged €7 for two spritz. Ask for the same drinks in San Marco or near to the Rialto and you'd be paying triple that....

In the evening the hotel has a "happy hour" from 6-8pm, they do some excellent snacks for you to have whilst you have some reasonably priced drinks. Whilst there you can chat to the staff who can help you arrange trips or give you tips on where to or not to go. It's also a great opportunity to speak to the other residents.

Our room overlooked the canal and on arrival there was a bottle of Prosecco on ice. We shown around the features of the room by the porter as our bags had been placed in the room whilst we had our welcoming drinks.

All in all it was the little touches of service that Mirco and his staff did that sets this hotel head & shoulders above the rest.
But it's done in a way that it doesn't mean they're fawning over you, they are pure class. The manager and staff are what make this already great hotel excellent.
Thank you for making our stay in Venice amazing.

Just spent a final night in Venice, having skied the week in the Dolomites and could not have picked a better place than Hotel Moresco. The staff are FANTASTIC, the room beautiful, the breakfast buffet spot on (Prosecco with your cornflakes anyone?) and the canal side location is perfect - less than a 5 minute walk from the bus terminal and easy access around this beautiful city. I imagine there are plenty of Venetian hotels with more grandeur, but none will compete for charm and warmth.

The hotel is nicely located by a canal. If you are arriving by train make sure you make arrangements with the hotel to help you. It is only 15 minute walk, but the longest 15 minutes with luggage. Walkkng in the bridges is tough with luggage. Good service, nice welcome but restaurant recommendations were not great.
