Jacopo Tintoretto should be enough to visit. His grave but more important a few works including Last Judgement and Adoration of the Golden Calf. There is also Domenico Tintoretto (Jacopo’s son), Tizian, Conegliano, Bellini was stolen ... This went to the book of D. Leon with Comissario Brunetti.
Contarini Chapel reminds the owner of the huge Cardinal’s palace at the end of the Fondamenta Contarini.
The name went from St Christopher to Madonna del Orto (vegetable garden). Read the explanation on information sheets that can be borrowed.

This church is close to the Orto vaporetto stop in a quiet area of Venice, about a 20 minute walk away from St. Mark's Square . You won't find many tourists here, but you will find a beautiful old church filled with history and lovely works of art.

This church dates back to the 1,300s which is amazing. It's very simple inside and worth the 3 euro admission price. You are provided a 1 pager laminated information sheet upon entering after paying the fee.

There are numerous side chapels and tombs inside the church. The history is amazing when you think how old this church is. Lots of good photo opportunities but no flash.

Off the beaten tourist path. Full of major works by Tintoretto, painted/donated while he was a parishioner. Best appreciated with a guide (we recommend Luisella Romeo...seevenice.it) who can make the art and history come to life.
