My partner and I stayed 4 nights at Casa Verardo and there aren’t enough good things to say about it. The staff was extremely attentive (Pierre was especially helpful), fabulous breakfast on the terrace overlooking a small canal, the location perfectly situated nestled in the Castello neighborhood away from the tourist crowds and only an 8 minute walk to the Riva. Good little restaurants just 5 mins away include the Rest Santa Maria Formosa, the wine bar Wine Bar 5000 and if youre up for embedding yourself in the local scene try a Cichetti dinner (Italian tapas) at Osteria Al Portego and after dinner aperitif at Magna Bevi Tasi.
