We loved this hotel and the service we got. It was adorable, quaint, and the front desk staff was very helpful. They even got us checked in several hours early. Breakfast was very good and the patio courtyard was beautiful. The only bad thing was that the bed was thee most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept on. I think the mattress was no more than a couple inches thick. It felt like sleeping on the floor with a sleeping bag. But overall, we loved the location close to the train station, but still off the main drag so it was quite and felt very safe.

This hotel use to be an abbey that has been wonderfully restored to a modern and beautiful hotel. The location is excellent close to shopping, restaurants, train station and public water taxis. It has breakfast buffet, free Wifi, spacious rooms and modern and clean bathrooms. The decor is stunningly beautiful and even has a charming courtyard. Hotel staff is very cordial and serviceable. Rooms have safe and mini bar and bathrooms have all expected amenities, including a towel warmer.

Back three weeks from my seventh visit to the Abbazia. As usual it was great. The hotel was warm in welcome and temperature! As we had wonderful, bright, chilly weather it was great to return to a clean, cosy, comfortable, spacious room. The reception staff were friendly, helpful and as welcoming as ever. The introduction of fresh cappuccinos etc.. at breakfast was really nice. What can I say..I love Venice and I love the Abbazia and I can't wait for my next visit to both. Thank you very much for a lovely stay.

We stayed 3 nights at Hotel Abbazia and it was perfect for what we were after, a great location that is a short stroll from the train station and a short walk to plenty of restaurants and shops.

It is about a 30min walk to St Marks Square which isn't a problem as you get to walk the
streets, various ally ways and cross plenty of smaller canals.

The staff were also very friendly and the breakfast also had a nice selection.

It’s a quirky, charming hotel with unique rooms and red fabric hallways that light up when walking down them. Love the place! Was an old monastery. Staff was great! Restaurants handy and good. Quiet street but close to water taxis and train station. Highly recommend it !!!
