Staff are very friendly and helpful and give good advice. Hotel is in a great location and very handy for a short walk to slopes and chairlift. Breakfast is good, great bread and croissants, scrambled egg and coffee, tea. Bar/lounge area was nice to sit in and relax with a beer or coffee after a good days skiing. Good ski locker room that has secured lockers and is heated and ski rental is right next to hotel - Cervinia 2001 which did a great ski service at a great rate. Room sizes are very good and beds are comfortable and good shower. Overall would definitely return to this hotel!

Just spent a week in Breuil Cervinia & chose to stay at the Compagnoni Hotel on a B&B basis. You get dropped off in the Coach Car Park & walk up to your Hotel. It isn't far & by the time you get there your luggage has already arrived. The Hotel was lovely, warm and welcoming. We were delighted with our room (25), it was spacious, clean & nicely decorated. I was also delighted to find out that there was a bath in the room, which was luxurious after a day on the slopes. Possibly our only gripe was that when we arrived a used towel was left hanging on a peg in the Bathroom, a half eaten bar of chocolate was in the safe & a pair of glasses were on the window ledge, however it certainly wasn't a major issue & one that was easy to remedy. Wifi wasn't great in certain parts of our room, but was fine downstairs. Our room was mega warm, even once we switched off the central heating in the evening. Breakfast was fine, a decent although perhaps not exciting selection on offer. However, I did love the little snacks that came with your drinks in the evening, a nice little treat before heading out for dinner. Also, the Hot Chocolate was really something special! We used the Wellness Centre once during our visit (€15.00 charge) & it was good, although we didn't know you needed a token for the Jacuzzi & as such didn't get to try it out. However, the Sauna, Steamroom & showers were all lovely. The Ski/Boot room was excellent & I absolutely loved the fact that you could ski down the slopes almost opposite the Hotel & just walk across the road & round the back of the Hotel to our Ski Lockers. The lounge was lovely, but pretty busy whilst we were there, so we tended to sit in the K2 Bar & watch all the activity outside the Hotel whilst keeping warm & chilling out with a drink. The staff were great, our favourite was Rodika, who worked in the K2 Bar, but the girls at breakfast were all lovely & the reception staff very helpful & efficient. We really enjoyed our stay & would go back to the Compagnoni Hotel if revisiting Cervinia.

This is a very nice hotel where most of the important boxes are ticked.
Location? YES
Situated in the middle of this small village everything is close, lifts, supermarket, restaurants, etc.
Nice atmosphere? YES
Clean, modern enough where you want it to be and traditional enough elsewhere.
Internet? NO
And this was a disappointment. The internet provided was not nearly powerful enough, you will need to try and try and then try some more to find a foothold.
Nice staff? YES
Indeed, very nice and helpful, all of them.
Comfortable beds? NO
Well, this depends on size. I am just above 1.80 cm with the consequence that my feet had to stay outside the bed. This never happens to me in other hotels. Very odd size of bed.
On the whole a great hotel, but don't expect internet and be prepared to sleep in fetal position.

Just come back from our 4th stay at this great hotel.

On our 2nd day my husband hurt his back putting on a ski boot, we thought that he wouldn't be able ski for the rest of our holiday. But with the help of the owners and staff who recommended a masseuse we were back on the slopes the next day. A big thanks to you all especially to the wonderful Maria who got him back on his feet again.

We will be back next March

...but nothing bad!

The Compagnoni Hotel has lots going for it. It is warm, comfortable, welcoming and the bedrooms are very spacious. It’s superbly positioned, right in the heart of Cervinia, giving you access to plenty of restaurants and, for skiers, it’s a really short walk of maybe 3 minutes to the Cretaz lift.

The ski locker room is secure and is very easily accessible once you’ve finished on the piste and, when you’re back in the hotel, there’s a very nice bar with excellent and friendly service.

Breakfast - well that’s not so good and is, without doubt, the hotel’s Achilles heel. Whilst the food is perfectly acceptable, all too often, certainly at peak times, there’s very little left - certainly the hot food selection (limited really to scrambled eggs and greasy bacon). This means that you’re left to wait (sometimes quite a while) while the hot food is replenished or pick at the leftovers if you want to eat before venturing out. However, if you’re happy with a ‘cold’ breakfast, there is plenty of choice.

Beds are firm, as are the pillows, but the bedrooms are well kitted out with plenty of hanging space. There’s also tea and coffee facilities and a safe for valuables.

The bathrooms are clean, and there’s a ready supply of piping hot water, served when you need it through a nice powerful shower.

Each day, you’ll return to a clean room with your bed made and all and any valuables left as they were.

In short, we all came away feeling like we’d made the right choice. If we return to Cervinia, we’ll be staying at the Compagnoni Hotel.
