Have been coming to Bolzano for over ten years and have stayed at 3 other places of equal rating before coming here this year. The staff have been very friendly and helpful during our 5 day stay. The top floor room with a view to the hills was one of the smaller doubles but by no means tiny. The lift was a bit slow and temperamental but used the stairs most of the time. Breakfast buffet had all the usual items expected and seen at other hotels in the area with fresh flowers and autumnal vegetables decorating the tables. The spa was spotless and relaxing. The faux salt cave jacuzzi isn't as dreadful as has been reported in other reviews it's just a bit eccentric. I do have to admit to licking my finger and touching the wall to see if it was real. The choice of whether to wear swim trunks or go without is left up to the individual, though most went without. The overal appearance of the hotel could best be described as having period charm. There are interesting real and reproduction items adourning the walls of the rooms, halls and stairways. The furniture might be to some dated but it is in good condition and still serviceable and makes a change from the identical hotel rooms available from other hotel chains. It's a unique gem of a hotel that should be enjoyed as it is not as you expect it to be.

This is a nice old hotel with a garden surrounding, which provides a quiet atmosphere even if you live in the center of Bolzano. The room had good beds, pillows and comfortable linens. There was a fan in the room. The room also had large windows that could be opened. Bathroom with bath and shower. Klean rom. We had room number 111, a quiet room facing the garden. In-room minibar. There is a parking garage attached to the hotel which is very convenient if you come by car or motorbike. You pay a small fee to park here, but it's worth it. The staff is very service minded.

Tastefully restored with modern conveniences, this historic hotel keeps its well earned reputation for comfort and quiet. Staff were professional and courteous, providing assistance with parking [€13/night] and storing luggage. Our room was spacious with a large bathroom equipped with two sinks. The grounds provided a cool, relaxing break from the summer heat, with drinks and light snacks served. We found lunch and the included breakfast at the hotel's restaurant LUNAS tastefully made with excellent ingredients. Weather permitting the restaurant's outdoor seating is like dining on your own mansion grounds on a beautiful day.

Room Tip: Request a room overlooking the garden grounds.

I stayed in the hotel for 4 night along conference I have in Bolzano. The hotel located in the center of the old city and the main attraction are in walking distance. The people in the reception were helpful for requests. The breakfast was fine and there is a nice garden. The price was reasonable, room was bit small but I presume that what you may expect for hotels in the middle of the old city. Overall I have positive experience.

Parkhotel Luna Mondschein is a wonderful place to stay with the charm and elegance that only old world hotels can have. It is right in the centre of town and has classic rooms with a delightful dining and breakfast area, both inside and outside. There is ample parking in the adjoining parking station and you can walk easily all around Bolzano from the hotel. The rooms are classy and there is a hidden delight - the wellness centre downstairs has an intriguing spa in a cave - a totally indulgent luxury which makes one feel very pampered as you recline at ease in the appropriately lit surroundings. Some of the rooms are very historical and related to important guests and it is a happy and friendly place with many guests relaxing in the luxuriant garden.

Room Tip: Some of the upper rooms have views of the Dolomites.
