I was not even aware of this when I found it while walking by. What a great surprise! The frescoes are worth spending the time to see. And the building itself, built on an ancient Roman site, is also interesting. Nearby are some Roman ruins that can also be viewed.

This is yet another ordinary looking church from the outside and set on a busy main road, but completely different once you enter inside. It has beautifully decorated walls full of stunning murals and a side gate leading to the Hall of Nuns which is just as impressive and hosting a magnificent looking organ.

This church was unknown to us until our guide took us there. What a gem! Great art and a wonderful insight into convent life. We were almost mesmerised but the reclusive, contemplative life is not for us.

To the gentleman Joel with the shallow review. As it is evident you are not an explorer; I suggest you read up on all places prior to visiting them via a hasten glance of one eye.

First off , the Church is not just a church. If you walk up the center aisle and onto the altar one should see a door way to go through . This area his 2 whole floors of fresco. The upper level is open with surrounding balcony. This area of the convent is where future nuns lived. It is where a Rich Italian father would send his teenage daughter in hopes to convert her to the nunnery.
