Brunelleschi Hotel was an excellent place to stay in Milan. A block or two from both the Missori and Duomo stops, it's centrally located, priced reasonable and a great place to stay while in Milan.

The hotel website says to get off an the Missori stop, but the Duomo stop is almost as close and eliminates the need to transfer trains if coming from Malpensa airport.

Nice, clean rooms, I requested (and got) a high floor room. Spacious room. Internet is free in the room, however, it's not wireless internet access. I packed my router (Airport Express) and was up and running quickly. Towel warmer, comfortable bed, and a nice breakfast (included) to top it off.

The television is an old CRT-type (not a flat screen) which was odd- but you're not in Milan to watch TV, right?

Room Tip: High floor was quiet and had windows to open- not sure about other floors.

We have made two trips to Milan and both times we have stayed at Hotel Brunelleschi. The team there would have to be one of the friendliest and efficient we have come across in our travels. From the moment you get out of your car at the door until the time when you say goodbye everything is looked after for you. Nothing is an issue and you are always greeted with courtesy and a smile. Add the excellent location to this and we wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Room Tip: The suites are amazing.

This was supposed to be a four star hotel but it wasn't even close. It needs a toal rehab including front desk service personnel. For the price, I think there must be something better. Luckily I had emailed the hotel asking for a large bed so I was given a larger room with a double bed. The breakfast buffet was excellent and ample and the staff there friendlier. As to comfort, I found all hotel beds in Italy uncomfortable and the pillows intolerable.

Room Tip: Because single travellers in Italy usually receive a single bed in a small room. I would alwways re...

Brunelleschi Hotel, Milan was the first hotel on our 2 1/2 week visit to Italy in early October and a great place to stay. We arrived at 1030 a.m. after overnight flight, were greeted warmly and pleasantly surprised to find our room ready. The registration staff was friendly, warm and eagerly answered our questions. As other reviewers have reported, the room decor felt a little dated (although not the bathroom), but is eaily overlooked with all the little added extras. The size of the room was adequate, there was extra storage space underneath corner benches, a seat and hook rack by the door, drawers and lots of hangers in the closet; a minibar, fridge, self-code locking safe, a fluffy robe, 2 pair of terry slippers, and traveler kits--dental, razor, sewing, nailfile; extra pillows. The towel warmer on the bath wall was nice the next morning, which was cool. It happened to be the only operational one the remainder of our trip to other cities. There was even a trouser press. The porcelain and chrome in the bath sparkled and the room was very clean. Housekeeping even placed linen towels on the floor to wipe our feet before getting into bed.

The hotel is nicely located close to the Duomo, Galleria Vittorio Emmanuele, several restaurants, shopping streets, and the via Dante (main pedestrain street). La Scala and Sforza Castle are within walking distance. Though we did not use the Metro, 2 stations are within a few blocks. We taxied to Stazione Centrale for our train to Venice for only 7 Euro.

The breakfast room was clean, large, and efficiently run--tables cleared quickly on a busy Saturday morning. Selections were many; from toast, bagels, croisssants, sweet rolls, to eggs, meats and cheeses, fresh fruit, juices and a wonderful full service coffee bar. We had 3G service in our room, but no WiFi. The Coffee Spa and Bar, just off Piazza Diaz, a couple blocks from the hotel, provided free WiFi and had a delicious 'happy hour' spread in the early evening.

We would definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed only for one night. The location is very convenient, 5 minutes walk from Piazza del Duomo and Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II.

The room is good, compatible to a 4 star hotel in Milano, although I didn't like the décor. Breakfast is excelent, with a great variety. For the price I paid, this hotel was a good deal.

The only setback happened at night, before we went to sleep. There was an emergency light inside the room that was ON all the time. The corteous and helpful staff tried everything to turn it OFF, but nothing seemed to work. Because of that we were kept awake until midnight. They even offered us another room, but luckily and suddenly the light went off and we could sleep well.
