one of the most interesting museums in Milan in a central area, which makes it easily accessible from the shopping district.

It is said that Milan's beauty lies behind closed doors and this is certainly true of this palace. It will take about an hour and a half to see all the art in all the rooms and to appreciate the palace itself. There are four or five outstanding works that merit contemplation. There is no cafe but there are some cafes in the vicinity.

An old nice house with beautiful portraits and great old carpets.
I have a special interest in old carpets so I thought it was wonderful opportunity to study carpets.

This museum is in fact the former home of a 19th century Milanese collector which he made into a work of art in itself and filled it with beautiful paintings, furniture and sculpture, as well as his collections of clocks and watches, jewellery, china and armour. It is small enough to see everything without getting exhausted and the collections are a real treat for the eye. The best paintings (including Piero della Francesca, Botticelli, Mantegna and the collection's signature "Portrait of a Woman" by Pollaiolo) are grouped in one room and beautifully lit and displayed, but almost everything in the house is worth admiring.

It is a small museum in a Palazzo and the art is magnificent. It is great to see the art as well as the Palazzo.
