When I booked the hotel, you a get a really unkindly e-mail about further instructions about what to do: "Failing to answer this e-mail with the information requested MIGHT not guarantee your check in." For a luxury hotel I guess the spelling is not adequate.
When I said that I arrive at 6.20 pm at Linate airport, the hotel advised me to better take a taxi in order not to break the "deadline" of 7 pm check in and to be forced to pay a 35 € fine for a late check-in. Beside the ridicules amount of money at a time (7 pm) I wouldn't call late, I again couldn't call it luxury behavior. After several e-mails with unanswered questions and miserable English, I got the notice that there is a problem with my credit card and only 50 € could have been charged. They asked for the total amount in advance (500 €). At this time I was sick of e-mailing and I asked about the charge for a cancellation. The answer was that the cancellation costs 50 € and they will conduct the cancellation now. Actually, I only asked for the price for the cancellation, not to do it.
SO BETTER AVOID THIS PLACE, if you look for something easy and you don't want to get ripped off.More
