We found Villa Ermelinda to be a well equipped good value B&B in the village of Magognina above Stresa and Lake Maggiore. Our hostess, Maria, was lovely, friendly and helpful. She even gave us a nice bottle of wine, because of a problem with the hot water one morning. Each morning, Maria brought us a large breakfast. The B&B is well placed for trips up to Il Mottarone and its alpine garden and over to Lago d'Orta.
