Wonderful staff at this great hotel in an excellent location in a beautiful city. Our room was quiet, clean and quite spacious. Washroom, with an awesome shower, was very large for a hotel room. Wished we had tried more at the restaurant downstairs, what we did have was excellent. They were very accommodating with an early arrival and let us leave our bags in a safe place both on arrival and departure. Easy walking distance to shopping and the lakefront.

Just returned home after a 5 day break at this fantastic little Hotel in Lake Como. Just 5 minutes stroll from the main promenade this Hotel is perfect for weekends and short midweek breaks as it offers everything you require. Rooms are adequate, clean and tidy with shower and washing facilities for all your needs. A Continental breakfast consists of all the usual food, cereals, cakes yogurt cold meats and cheeses, although these are processed and packaged. The excellent coffee makes all the difference in the morning. The Hotel has a small pizzeria attached offering over 40 different types with the excellent House wine. Overall this Hotel made our short stay in Como and the Lakes most enjoyable. Would definitely return.

Albergo del Duca was a little gem of a hotel on a piazza with lovely restaurants around as well as shops and close the waterfront area, We loved Sara and her warm welcome and friendly hospitable manner on our arrival. We were glad not to have aroom on the square as it can become noisy late into night as one guest shared. Perfect sized room , comfortable and clean,. Wonderful breakfasts ..

Room Tip: if you want quiet , ask for a room not facing the Piazza

This little hotel has an amaxing location, right on a beautiful piazza & their own restaurant underneath.
We chose the suite, which is extremely spacious, only drawback is it's on the 3rd floor & the lift only goes to the 2nd but that was no trouble for the fellow we checked in with as he took our bag up for us.
The hotel is very close to the waterfront & tomorrow we're off to explore the Lake.
Restaurant was inexpensive & pizzas delicious so can thoroughly recommend.

Located in the pedestrian precinct in Mazzini ( Piazza del Luca ) and literally steps away from the main Como Square , couldn't be better located . Room was compact but sufficient , and the bathroom relatively large . Came to know the place well after 4 nights , the only let down was the breakfast , the " attached " restaurant bloke tries hard , and the coffee is fine , but ham on pre-packaged mass cheddar , day after day not really diverse enough . Yes , cereal and yoghurt , and croissants sounds OK but it really is sparse , maybe my egg predilection making the criticism too harsh . Otherwise highly recommendable , mine hosts ready to assist anytime , nothing to improve otherwise .
We'd definitely return as a preference . Be careful searching for a laundromat , google maps hopelessly out of date ( 5 of the listed places have closed , I walked 17 km seeking , eventually finding one just a block away from the weekend market , outside the pedestrian village ) . Still like Sorrento better than Como , beautiful as it is , although the car limitation in the town makes it easy to get round , and learn .
