Very nice and comfortable space away from the bustle of the Bellagio shopping district. Appreciated the use of the lovely garden area to enjoy a glass of wine at the end of the day. Pleasant and helpful host. Because it was the off season we were able to easily find parking near the shopping district so we can't comment on that walk as others have. There is a square with a few shops and restaurants that is walkable from the apartment so you don't need to go to the city center for everything.
The Lake Como region in general, and Bellagio in particular, is breathtakingly beautiful. This apartment is very well maintained, scrupulously clean and a pleasure to occupy. If, as is inevitable, there are minor issues, the proprietors react immediately to rectify any problems.
We recommend it highly, with one qualification. If one is staying long enough that using the washing machine is necessary, be advised that it is a washer, not a dryer, and drying clothes is accomplished by means of a drying rack. This process can take as much as two days.
A lovely family who gave us a very warm welcome . The property had everything you would possibly need comfortable bed ,well equipped kitchen and a wonderful view over Lake Como . We will return
A perfect apartment in a perfect location.
The apartment is the ground floor of a large family house with a large bedroom, separate bathroom and an open sitting/dining area/kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with new appliances and cupboards and all is well maintained and clean.
There is a terrace outside with views across the Lecco arm of the lake to the mountains behind. The grounds are impeccably maintained by Danielle, one of the hosts and have olive trees as well as herbs , hydrangeas and other plants.
The apartment is a little outside of the main area of Bellagio, on a hill behind the town, so there are wonderful views along the lake from a bench above the house, right next to the chicken coop! We walked in to Bellagio in 20 minutes or so, but also walked to San Giovanne for coffee and croisants and Loppia, which gives access to one end of the Melzi gardens. There is a small shop and a pastry shop in the town a few steps from the apartment. A very quiet and peaceful location.
The hosts, Valentina and Daniele could not be more pleasant and they, and their family, were very welcoming. Could not do enough for us. Would not hesitate to recommend this apartment.
Antico Uliveto is a great place to stay in Bellagio. The property is in an Olive Grove on a hill above the town. The Agnelli family are great hosts who made us very welcome and kindly gave us some gifts of food, including some of their own Extra Virgin Olive Oil, fruit from the garden and fresh eggs from their own chickens. Bellagio is a pleasant 20 minute walk but when the weather is hot, I'd recommend the bus back (the Lecco bus stops in Visgnola), a few minutes from the property. The views to the lake are amazing and can be enjoyed sitting on the terrace
