We have just spent a wonderful afternoon on the terrace drinking cocktails and beer served by the very polite and attentive staff at the Metropole hotel. Would highly recommend for a visit and the cocktail list is quite extensive. Looks like a lovely place to stay and research suggests that the room prices are reasonable given the waterfront location with amazing views over the lake.

Great place for a cocktail sitting by the lake. We then moved along to the restaurant part. Great service when we had our cocktail but unfortunately the standard of service went downhill as we moved table to eat. We had mixed lake fish. The portion was large, but unfortunately overcooked. We also had query the bill, for two of us we were charged for four cover places, so a disappointing experience.

Dear Shell,
Thank you so much for selecting or bar and restaurant,we are sorry that you have not been completely satisfied, but to avoid misunderstandings we present a prebill and always ask the customer to confirm that all charges are correct before proceeding to the payment. even in this case if there was an error of the covers number due for your table change at the end you only paid for two covered.
we hope to have you as our guest on an upcoming occasion.

Best Regards

This hotel ticks all the boxes for an excellent stay in Bellagio! The hotel itself is right in the centre of the Bellagio lake front area in between the passenger ferry terminal, and the car ferry terminal, and it's less than a minute's walk to both. This does mean it can be a bit noisy if you have the windows open in a lake view hotel room, as the ferries come & go all the time....that said, it did not bother us a bit. We had a lake view room, which was spotlessly clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable too.
The staff in the dining room were extremely friendly and helpful, especially the Maitre D'. Breakfast is a buffet of ham, cheeses, cereals, bread (including gluten free on request), tea, coffee, bacon, eggs, juice etc.
We also had dinner twice in the hotel (you get a 10% discount if a hotel resident), and the food was very nice (with gluten free pasta options if required), and the service excellent.
The reception staff were very efficient and pleasant, if maybe not quite as warm as the restaurant staff.
This hotel is near everything, eg the lake front shops, and right opposite the Salita Serbelloni which is the main stepped, cobblestoned pedestrian thoroughfare of shops in Bellagio (but not the only one!)
We will definitely return!

Room Tip: Go for any lake view room if you can....you will not regret it....the views are spectacular

This is a stunning location and we had a great table for 6 overlooking the lake on a wonderful sunny day. The food and service were excellent. Fabulous lasagne, seafood pasta and a seafood salad were some of the dishes our group had. We also had the great privilege of Mr. John Kerry joining us briefly after his lunch! We hope to return soon!

We had a lovely stay at the hotel at the end of April. Our room on the 2nd floor was very good, not huge but comfortable. The bathroom was a good size with a large shower and every day the bathroom was stocked with toiletries. The balcony was really small, just big enough for two chairs and if we went to Bellagio again we would want to stay in the rooms on the first floor with a lovely terrace balcony. We were half board and the restaurant was amazing. The waiters were wonderful - very friendly with excellent service provided. The menu was varied and we didn’t get bored with the choices during the week we stayed. Without doubt the fact that the hotel is right on the lake is a real bonus as the view from the bedrooms and restaurant are very special. It was also very convenient for the ferry and although the ferry terminal was very close to the hotel we weren’t bothered by any noise. All in all a lovely hotel in an amazing resort on Lake Como. We will definitely return.
