Staying at this lovely place was literally a breathe of fresh air. We are a group of 7 people, were 3 stayed in a suite for 3 people and the other 4 in 2 rooms separately. We were welcomed with the stunning views of the mountain following aoderatey rigorous trek up to Cornglia with baggage. Although, the local bus can be taken as an alternative. The location is perfect for on-the-budget as well as those willing to splurge on a holiday. There is a local pizza takeaway where the crusts are to die for and pasta near the next door neighbour Il Buongusto. On Saturdays, there is also a local shop that sells rotisserie chicken but make sure to reserve in advance as it runs out quickly.
We spent our holiday with a mix of on the budget and splurge meals. We were disappointed on the first day as we can't boil water for coffee but this is quickly remedied the next day. We bought coffee from the local shop together with some croissants and spent the early morning on the terrace readying for the itinerary of the day. I will also remember the nostalgic sound of the bells from the nearby San Pietro basillica that dates back to the 13th century and the lovely Ave Maria musical from the church bells. In total, our holiday was made perfect partly because of this lovey place created by Sandra and Paulo. We will definitely come back!
- lovely location for Corniglia
- spacious and reasonably priced with a lovely terrace to eat a take away meal if on a budget
- clean and well-kept
- Sandra and Paulo are very accommodating

- no means of boiling hot water for coffee on the first day
- bus going to the top of Corniglia can be slow and taking the steps to get up to the village can be arduous for less physically fit (i.e. More of a con for Corniglia rather than the hotel itself)

We were greeted by Sandra in the square at Corniglia - she and Paulo were helpful and warm and very informative from start to finish of our visit. Making arrangements with Sandra was easy via email and by text while we were there. We drove to Corniglia - not as difficult as first imagined - and Sandra was kind enough to provide parking for our vehicle.

The room was spotless, quiet and having a balcony with a good ocean view was a real treat. Corniglia is pretty calm by the early evening - great for relaxing after a day out walking. There are good cafes for breakfast - Caffe Matteo recommended just down the street.

Note that these days the CT park seems pretty cautious with trail closures - best to plan each day after checking whether trails are open and it's not a bad idea to have a plan B ready.

Sandra Villas - top notch, we were very pleased that we chose it for our visit to Cinque Terre.

We just spent two nights at Sandra Villa Rooms after being very disappointed with our hotel in La Spezia and deciding to check out early. By far, it was the best decision we could have made. Sandra is a beautiful person and a fantastic host, she made sure everything ran smoothly and nothing was too much trouble. We were in Villa 3 and had a spectacular view of the ocean and the mountains. The air conditioning worked well, the bed was comfortable and the room was clean and tidy. We would return here in a heartbeat!

My friends and I visited Cinque Terre and chose Sandra's rooms for our three-night stay. Sandra was very professional through email and met us when we arrived in Corniglia to show us to our guest room. She gave us great suggestions for places to eat in Corniglia (including a cafe where we ate breakfast every morning), and even allowed us to store our luggage on the day we were leaving (we didn't leave until the afternoon). Perfect location in the cute town of Corniglia (in my opinion, this town is a great home base for Cinque Terre). Room was clean, simply but nicely decorated with recently renovated bathroom. Our room had a little balcony that looked out on some gorgeous terraces. I would definitely stay here again!

Room tip: Definitely try to get a room with a view!

We stayed only two nights at Sandra Villa Rooms but would have loved to stay longer. Our room was straight off the little piazza - handy for breakfast or a late night drink! The room was clean, with a beautiful view at sunset. We were happy that we stayed in Corniglia, after visiting the other villages of Cinque Terre - too busy and touristy. Sandra was very friendly and helpful, as was her husband Paul.
