Our group of three ladies arrived at La Posada around 11:00 am. before they were officially open. We had partially climbed down the many steps of Corniglia in the heat of the day, and then climbed back up, spotting the outdoor garden area of La Posada on the right. There was a arched doorway covered in yellow roses. (Their indoor restaurant is separate and across the little road, but we wanted to eat out of doors with a gorgeous view of the ocean and garden area.) The waitress informed us they were not serving lunch until 12:00 pm. but we could have cold drinks. As we were hot and thirsty, this was music to our ears. We enjoyed crisp white wines and soft drinks, until lunch service started. The gnocchi was delicious and I highly recommend it. This place is called "La Posada" for a reason....it is a true resting place, and a beautiful garden oasis.
