First thing , the place is ugly from all points of view.
Second , food was really bad , has d a plate of Tortellini Zucca - really the worst I've ever tasted.
The dessert was even worse and tasteless.
Check was a surprise , so pricy ! absolutely should have been half in any other place.
Real bad experience in every sense.

Reserved and got there for 8pm so they were just opening. It was fairly cool (cold) but warmed up as the place filled up. However, the service was cool too. Recommendations seemed to be most of the menu. We ordered the zucchini flowers for starters- deep fried, plain, and not great. The batter retained a little too much oil for our liking. We ordered pasta for our second courses. Ravioli came with most of the filling no longer inside the pasta. My tagliatelle was tasty but on the small side. We glanced over at a nearby table having the same pasta and my portion seemed particularly small. Was this because we were the only non Italians in the restaurant? The wine was excellent and desserts good. Service remained uninterested and cool and I left disappointed. Not one to visit again especially after the lovely service and quality we've had every where else we went to.

We visited this trattoria on a friday afternoon. The place was packed during peak lunch hours. We had booked our table.

Meal : Our order - Tortellini in Brodo, Ricotta with butter , Sea bass, Wine , Zuppa Inglese, and Tiramisu. The tortellini as well as the ricotta were fabulous . Nothing to complain about the sea bass and the desserts. In short we enjoyed the food.

Atmosphere : The decor is something that captures the spirit of the place, a small family run trattoria. We found the atmosphere cosy, where people from the neighbourhood turn up for lunch.

Service : This is a family run business, so they can get a bit stretched during peak hours. However they do make every effort to ensure that you are taken care off. Personally I feel you go for a slow enjoyable meal.

I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Bologna.

From our first visit a year before, this place disappointed. A late dinner opening means a rush of patrons came at once; not uncommon in Italy but the staff could not handle it. Gramigne with salciccia were good but an "osso bucco" offered as a daily special was, frankly, awful - tough, dry, and perhaps not even a veal shank. Maybe the headwaitress was trying to sell something a day old? A Pepe verde fillet had an odd sauce, possessing nothing of the magnificence of the previous version. Left us thinking something has changed here - not for the better.

Decor as you come in is quite tacky and the bathroom had no working tap.

We ordered pasta to begin with which was fine, but pretty small and average tasting for the price. We ordered potatoes to accompany this, which they didn’t actually bring until after we ate the pasta...which meant we sat sharing a bowl of potatoes as a main. We then ordered the zucchini flower to try and make us feel slightly full...it was gross!!!! So greasy and had so much batter on it I spent more time peeling the batter off than eating it. It also cost €11 for 2 tiny zucchini heads.

We then went to pay which took ages as the waiter watched the football on the telly as we tried to pay.

Will never return. Don’t recommend.
