The rooms are nothing special, but the price is low, the location is fantastic. 8 min walk to either the Duomo or Torre, or the train station. Right near great restaurants and the University bars and clubs. Super nice staff are very helpful and happy 24/7.
Our room on the top floor had commanding views of Bologna, it was fantastic. We didn't even know they had rooms with a view?!
The bathroom is tiny. Breakfast was pretty good, large selection. Wifi works great.
You get a lot for your money here.

Room Tip: Top floor rooms have amazing views of Bologna! You would pay double elsewhere for the view!

For a hotel in one of Italy's wealthiest cities, this budget property represents good value-for-money. Great location between the historic center and train/bus station, friendly and helpful staff, free WiFi, a/c, and a generous breakfast with barista service. Rooms have dated furniture and small bathrooms (although no worse than a bathroom in London or Paris), but are clean and comfortable enough. I would stay here again.

Feb, 2015. one night spent. Single room. Very small room with smallest bathroom ever!!! I am a thin person, but only just fitted in bathroom. Strange!! The design and furniture are old. So it is not comfortable , avarage clean. Otherside the location is perfect , and the Receptionist man was very friendly. But no more times.

This is a simple little hotel but recently modernised in a pleasant style but in the heart of the medieval quarter of this wonderful city. my trip was very short but I was made to feel very welcome and Leo the night porter is very charming

Room Tip: facing the street is best

We stayed here four nights, the rooms are simple and well looked after. The bathrooms are not big. The rooms are clean, the breakfast is copious. The staff are friendly and very helpful.
There are negative comments among the reviews, I had no experiences like that, quite the contrary so I wonder if the were written by disgruntled competitors.
The area, near the University is not the quietest in Bologna, but you can do everthing easily on foot from here, museums, airport bus, train station.
The desk staff will help you with good restos, we found the Fontanamera the best locally. Drink the Pinot Grigio
