This is a lovely hotel. It didn't look like much from the outside, but once inside, it was wonderful. The hotel is located on a corner in central Bologna. The room was quiet and comfortable with lots of modern amenities. One thing to be aware of is that when you get off the elevator, you have to go up a few stairs to get to your room. It's a little bit difficult with heavy luggage.
Breakfast was outstanding and included eggs, fresh mozzarella, prosciutto, and a variety of pastries and cereal. The parking garage was a little hard to find being my first trip to Bologna. There are lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance which made it an ideal location. I enjoyed my stay here very much!

Some of the negative reviews on here seems bizarre to say the least. I stayed in this hotel and found the location great… 7 minutes walk either way to the train station and the Piazza Maggiore. the room was nice and comfortable, clean and classically decorated. It's basic enough for a 4 star, but i couldn't get over how cheap it was. Ok, it was slightly off season, but i found I got great value for what I paid (not much!). The staff were pleasant, the breakfast nice*. The room itself was really quiet (given that its on a busy shopping/traffic street) and the single bed was large and comfortable.
My only minor complaint was that the room I was in seemed to trap the sun in the daytime and it took a couple of hours for the room to cool off in the evening. Aside from that it was all very pleasant.

*I was amused by a gentleman who complained about a supposed lack of low fat milk at breakfast, and who also squeezed breadrolls to test their freshness before throwing them back in the basket. Some people cannot be pleased. If you act like this man, you probably don't deserve the nice service this hotel and its staff offer.

Hotel is located half way between the main railway station and the centre of Bologna. Both easy walking to and from under the portico of this foodie paradise of a city. The hotel is very well appointed with large rooms on three floors all covered by lifts. The bar and dining area is on the second floor well laid out with plenty of space to sit and enjoy the surroundings. WiFi is free throughout the hotel and there is a computer and printer available in the bar area for printing of boarding passes etc. Breakfast is the only meal served at the hotel, waiter service for tea & filter coffee ( request waiter for Espresso, Latte or Americano all freshly made) .with a hot and cold buffet selection provided. The selection is good with fruit, cereal , yogurt , cold meats and cheese as well as the normal hot selection . The hotel sits on a main intersection serviced by many buses, taxis and the aero bus ( 6 euro each) . Rooms are located on the main street , side street and backstreet so if you like it quiet request a third floor room on the back street. But if you like to see everything going on in this university city go for the front and sit and watch the city inhabitants going about their business. Fitness centre is available at sister hotel which is close by.The area is famous for the food and the local restaurants, wine bars and café culture certainly do not disappoint.

Room Tip: Higher the quieter although air con can be noisy at night.

The hotel is situated on a busy street intersection about 10 minutes walk from the main square and the entrance is very discreetly marked "hotel"! The reception area is quite small with 2 lifts to the upper floors and stairs that take you up to the mezzanine floor where the breakfast room and bar are situated.
My room was up on the first floor and it was spacious with openable windows looking out into the garden/courtyard, so no noise from the street. The large double bed was comfortable with good bedlinen and a matress protector. The room was quite plain with only a large mirror on the wall facing the bed. Underneath the mirror was the minibar, flat screen TV, table and chair - only the one chair was provided even though the room was for two people; it could really do with a nice armchair to complete the furnishing! The general lighting was OK although the bedside lamps could do with higher wattage lamps - the 28w lamp was just about adequate for reading! The air con. was efficient but a little noisy on the highest setting.
The bathroom had marble floor and walls with all the usual facilities, nice toiletries, thick white towels and excellent lighting. A rubber anti-slip mat for use in the shower was provided.
The wardrobes were situated on the left as you entered the bedroom from the corridor and although hanging space was good, there were only two shallow drawers for other items. The safe was situated in the bottom of one of the wardrobes. The room was spotlessly clean throughout.
The breakfast buffet was very good with everything you could possibly want and if you asked the waiting staff, other things like omelettes, etc. were also available. The staff throughout the hotel were very polite, helpful and friendly.
I heard no noise from the surrounding rooms or from the corridor, and I would recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay in a lovely city!

Room Tip: Rooms facing into the garden/courtyard are quieter

Located in the center of Bologna in the walking distance from main thing " to see" and shops.
Got Single quiet room facing backyards, with sofa, tv, large window . Clean and comfortable The toilet room has everything you need!
Breakfast is ok, but don't take coffee from machine . Ask stuff to make coffee for you.
How to get to the hotel from Bologna airport:
-by shuttle bus ( 6€) - you need to buy tickets in the machine or in supermarket inside
-by taxi ( I paid 25€ on Sunday)
