Recently refurbished and stylish. Overlooks port. Attentive staff. Excellent breakfast. Excellent en-suite bath room facilities. Complementary mini-bar- nice touch. Rather small fitness room. Would love to stay here again

Newly beautiful refurbished and managed hotel with amazing view over the port and sun set ... delicious breakfast both my favorites !!! elegant ,modern and cosy room with lots of little details. Gym , wine bar with nice italian tapas... The owner produces his own wine and has won several awards ... Friendly staff and good English speaking, which it was nice to hear it .. Walking distance to every main point of the old city, theater , shops .. super easy.. Price for quality was above expectation

We were a little surprised by the location and disappointed. We were directly in front of the very busy ferry port and not a quaint harbour as had been expecting.
However, the staff were friendly and accommodating. Our room was sea facing and well equipped.

We picked Grand Hotel Palace because of its convenient location to the port as we booked to take a ferry to Split from Ancona. We arrived to Ancona by train and the hotel is about a mile and a half walk from the station. The staff was friendly and very helpful with what to see and where to go for local sights and dining. The rooms were very clean and comfortable.

Very nice decor and great location by the port. The only minus would be doors that were not soundproof and I could hear other guests passing by and chatting, but it's not a big deal. Housekeeping service was very prompt. Nice breakfast selection.
