It was a superb experience to visit Rome with Vittorio. He is funny, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable about Roman and Art history. I loved listening to his stories, he brought the past to life in the moment. We visited the fascinating excavations at San Clemente, the astonishing wealth and grace at the Galleria Colonna. You may book a full day or part of day. This is the second time my family and I have engaged the charming Vittorio to show us Rome...do it!

A travel agent booked us with a short, afternoon tour in Rome. We were to meet our guide near the Piazza del Popolo. We misunderstood the directions and went to the wrong location in the large plaza, but somehow Vittorio found us. Sometimes, just dumb good luck happens. We spent a wonderful two hours with Vittorio, visiting sites we had only seen pictures of, drinking from a “big nose”, learning about history, architecture, conflicts between artists and architects, music and many other things, customized to our interests. Vittorio knows Rome, not just the facts, but also the personalities, the loves, the conflicts. We will return to Rome. We didn’t plan enough time there. When we do, we will reserve time with Vittorio. And, if you are fortunate enough to have Vittorio as a guide, be sure to ask for his recommendation for a restaurant and be sure to tell the Maître d' that Vittorio sent you.

Vittorio is a knowledgeable, kind and patient guide. He makes time to understand our needs and priorities for the limited time we have as tourists. The best part of the tour is it felt like a lovely day out with a dear friend. Thank you, Vittorio!
