Stayed earlier this year reading some of the reviews I thought I should even out the reviews.have never reviewed a hotel before but always choose the hotel by reading before I book.i can only comment on my stay which was very below average and not the five out of five and constant referencing to the very average low pressured shower.if the large tv is your thing don't expect many English speaking channels 2 or 3 and the picture is very grainy.also the plugging of the website with 5% off and wonderful staff.we hardly ever saw the staff as they werent there on many occasions so you had to wait until they turned up if you had any issues With the noise or cleanliness of the room like we had to put up with.I would class this as a very nice hotel and I hope that this true review helps other people.

We have reviewed the details of your complaints, however, we were somewhat taken aback by the content of said complaints since they should have been raised immediately at reception where the hotel management could have dealt with them there and then. Now, four months after the fact, it has proven to be virtually impossible to investigate the validity of your complaints, including the problem experienced with the functioning of the television, low water pressure in the shower, staff presence and other problems, also due to the fact that other guests that stayed in our hotel around the same time did not raise any such problems.
Furthermore, certain types of complaints must be brought to the attention of the reception staff timeously so that we can take immediate action to eliminate any imperfections (and not four months after the fact!). As a matter of fact, whereas you indicated that you stayed at our hotel in February 2012, your complaints were only officially lodged on 18 May 2012!
We also wish to point out that there are valid reasons for us to doubt the genuineness of this review since, notwithstanding us having carried out various investigations, we have been unable to discover any evidence that you did in fact stay at our hotel at all. Furthermore, notwithstanding all our attempts to contact you at the address you provided in order to find out what your booking number was, to date we have not received any response from you in this regard! We continue to wait for said response, hoping that you will perhaps read our reply.
In any event, we are extremely sorry that our hotel was apparently not to your liking, unlike the numerous guests who have stayed with us and have given us excellent reviews for the quality of our services and the courtesy and reliability of our staff.
Kindest regards.

We enjoyed our stay at the Al Viminale Hotel, and thought we got what we paid for. Hotels in Rome are high priced in general, so we were not expecting luxury accommodations when we arrived. I think our expectations were met or exceeded, as the room was decent and had a nice view of the opera house across the street. The blanket on our bed was somewhat dirty, so we just didn't use it. The room was small, but not too small to be a problem. The shower was very interesting - with all different jets and multicolored lights. The hotel is not located within walking distance of many attractions, but the subway station and major bus stops were only a couple blocks away which was very convenient. The elevator up was VERY old but we found it charming. This place is somewhat self service, as the front desk person was only around between normal business hours. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

We stayed at Al Viminale Hill for 3 nights, we booked directly to the Hotel that applied a special discount included all service with no extra charge Wi Fi too!
It was located near the main Station, very easy walking to the major attraction in the Eternal City.
The room was amazing with an Opera view, comfortable bed, big TV 42, Dvd, hi-tech bathroom with touch screen light in the mirror and fantastic shower with cromotherapy and idromassage.
Very helpfully Staff at check in, special thanks to Emiliano who offer us a Pizza in a restaurant nearby.
We will be back here definitively.

Our room in the hotel was quite small, yet managed to fit in a 42 inch Pioneer TV, a spa shower and air conditioning. We also had use of a coffee-making area, which also served the adjacent rooms. The whole hotel seemed to be converted from a large old town house, and had a lift which must have been 70 years old. There was very little service - eg breakfast was not really available. The reception staff were quite helpful, but nothing special. Our room was serviced by cleaning staff daily, but they decided to take away the soap one day and not replace it until we happened to come across one of them and ask for some more. The location was excellent - 5 minutes walk from the Termini Station and directly opposite the opera house. Overall I would say the Al Viminale was quite elegant, and certainly well positioned.
