We had booked a room through Booking.com for two nights to enable my husband to take my very sick daughter on a trip abroad. However, two days prior to this we had an email from the airline to inform us that all flights were cancelled due to airport baggage handlers striking in Rome. We were able to get a full refund instantly from the airline but the hotel refused to either refund us or move the dates. Wrote an email to them and got no reply whatsoever. Very let down and give this hotel 0/10 for their handling of this situation. Thank goodness we did not actually stay here.
