Quiet street, no indication it is a hotel, rang bell and was greeted with a sharp "sí", entered building, which was mainly flats, with no idea of which floor hotel was on, so had to stop at every floor. When we knocked on door we were greeted by an EXTREMELY ANGRY Italian man, who shouted at me and my shocked friend for a good 10 minutes in Italian. We eventually realised we had opened the door of the lift too soon. For two women travelling alone this was an extremely intimidating situation to be in.

Given our room, which was meant to be twin, but was a double. There was a mouldy apple in the drawer and the tea/coffee facilities consisted of a couple of tea bags and two sachets of sugar, one of which was already opened!

Every night we were woken by other guests banging doors and talking. Breakfast was way below average.

I would recommend NOT staying at this hotel at any cost.

The area was an 'orto' in the past and the remaining building is very interesting. Just across the road diagonally from the hotel. Nice restaurants around. The Hotel is very safe and the staff obliging it is on the third floor but the lift was very efficient.Very clean, water pressure good but difficult to regulate temperature. Not much English spoken which I liked as it gave me an opportunity to practice my Italian. We were scammed by a very elegant gentleman in a car who managed to con 75Eu out of us with a very plausible story, giving us handbags for being so kind to him!! My Scottish ancestors turning corkscrews in their graves at my gullibility.

Room Tip: Wifi not very strong. Our room was No 8 which though it was overlooking the street was very quiet.

We used this hotel during our short break to Rome. It's location is perfect if you don't mind a short 30ish minute walk to the main area and offers a quiet atmosphere.

The staff are polite l and spoke a little bit of English which you can't complain however Thomas that works there is absolutely bonkers and speaks no English who always put a smile on our faces! The rooms were very basic with a small tv, a desk, couple of wardrobes and a small ensuite like shower and toilet. One off the walls did have a hole in from where the door had been swung open and cracked through the plaster but overall you got more than what you pay for!

To Start all the pictures on everything etc appears its a hotel. ITS NOT. Its a sign on a big building where you buzz in, get in a lift which 50% of the time doesn’t work and on the 3rd floor and without google maps you wouldn’t find. It’s a floor on a building and a sign outside the size of an A4 bit of paper is all that gives it away.

Once inside the staff whilst very friendly were not fluent in English and get by on basic words and pointing, there’s no check in process where they say breakfast is this time, wifi is this and checkout is this it is a case of here’s the room, here is the key goodbye. I actually tried to ask about breakfast as it was included but got a confused look.

We were in room 2 and it looked amazing inside, until we were relaxing when we heard talking as clear as someone next to you. It turns out the bathroom from us and next door were separated by an open ceiling and paper thin walls. We could hear brushing of teeth and well everything else. It was not great, also the shower was shocking. It was non-movable and just on the wall like a prison block style and was useless, either scaling hot or freezing cold.

The beds were pretty firm and the pillows even firmer but otherwise to be fair looked amazing as you walked in was clean and tidy and great for the price. It had an A/C unit which worked well and you could turn off/on or off and the windows kept out the noise from outside which to be fair was minimal. Although there was damp under the window.

Be warned the throws they use on the side where the label is having staples where they appear to stick the laundry tag on. If in the night this ends up on you it can end up cutting you as it did me and quite frankly a bizarre thing to have on there.

The breakfast is basis but clean tidy, has tea, coffee, toast and a few pastry’s and couldn’t argue with and the location has buses all nearby and a walk to the tube. If you buy a travel day pass (cheap as chips) then you can use the bus, tube and tram and it makes the hotel a great place for location. There is also on the main road a pizza place which does open fire pizzas which was nice.

Overall there are a LOT of negatives and personally as the bed I didnt like, shower was awful and the fact that I could hear EVERYTHING next door i wouldn’t stay again. On the other hand it was a good location in the middle of Rome and for 3 nights and £100 ish you cant knock it. You get what you pay for

Room Tip: Not room or 1 dont have conversations in the toilet.

i selected the hotel based on other reviews, but i was very disappointed to see the room
- the bath was not so clean considering the aspect of the toilet and the walls of the shower
also the dirty aspect of the water boiling machine and the cups
- the temperature in the room was not comfortable at all and the air conditioner was terrible
- the roof of the shower was a dirty net
but the worst thing was not being able to sleep because of the noises - i was able to hear everything happening outside the room - i do not recommend room 1
- one of the ladies in charge with the breakfast was terrible - she was changing stuff at each table, she was very agitated

the only positive thing - the two men from the desk- one that did not speak English, but he was nice

Room Tip: not room no 1
