Had a good 3 day stay here. Located by San giovanni station so only a short metro ride ro Spanish Steps, villa borghese or the Vatican. 10 min walk to the Colosseum. This is a great location for exploring ancient Rome on foot but not so good for rest of the city. Room was clean and pleasant though a little bland, bathroom and entrance hall has nice modern styling. This is a serviced room so no hotel facilities at all. Part of a mixed use building so we were woken up by building work early on the floor above (not chroma's fault but rhe nature of this type of accommodation). Staff were pleasant

We had the biggest room, which was big indeed and so was the bathroom. However, the room really isn't cosy - there is a small window and it feels quite bare and cold.

This isn't a hotel so there aren't any hotel facilities like a kettle to make tea or coffee. The room is cleaned every morning but was still quite dusty. There was quite a lot of dust in the bathroom, on the toilet paper holder for instance.

Location is good: close to San Giovanni metro and a walking distance to the colosseum.

For the price and lack of hotel facilities, I would stay in an air bnb flat next time!

My daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights over the February half term. You couldn't ask for a warmer welcome, Simone is excellent, very friendly and helpful. The location is great, just up the road from the St Giovanni Metro stop or a 15/20 minute walk from the Colosseum (provided you don't get lost amongst the wonderful piazzas on route!) The building and room were beautiful. The room was large and clean and the rain shower was an added bonus. The bed was very comfy too. Would definitely stay here again!

We spent 3 night at Chroma Pente in January. The situation is great, next to the metro San Giovanni and several bus stops which go directly to the touristic areas. The room has everything you need, it´s very confortable, the shower is a rain shower! and everything is very clean.
Simone was very helpful and friendly during our whole stay. He gave as valuable tipps of places to have lunch and breakfast.
Next time we would stay at this hotel without any doubt.

The reviews of Marius and JHcewc explain all the extra information you need about this place.

I will only re-iterate the location of the hotel. Once you find the street location, you will come across a "mixed use" complex including commercial offices, other hotels and office spaces. There is no signage for Chroma Pente BUT once you walk in, turn right and walk up the stairs to level 1 and it is first on your right.

This is a fantastic place and close to the Colosseum. The walk is only 10mins to the Colosseum not 20-25 as some others have suggested. Once the metro line is a 2 min walk max to this place. We loved Rome and this was the perfect hotel for us.
