This villa is a little bit out of the way of the cluster of other tourist sites but definitely well worth it. Before seeing this villa I don't think I truly appreciated how beautiful frescoes could be, but the ones that have been beautifully maintained here completely changed my mind within one visit. Only downside is that I wish there were more! In reality (or at least currently) only the rooms on the first floor are really geared towards the typical house museum/art and architecture visitor; the upper story rooms are mostly devoted to a related exhibit on technological advances that are used in art preservation and restoration, and how they were applied in the house. Interesting, but personally I would have appreciated more about the house itself instead!
