“Italian Hospitality, Great Hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 February 2012

Hotel Victoria is in a nice quiet area of Rome, near the Borghese Gardens, and Via Veneto. The front desk staff went out of their way to make us feel at home, especially Nicola and Massimo. We were telling them about a problem we had getting in touch with a company there and before we finished the sentence, they picked up the phone and were calling them for us! We didn't even ask them to do that but they sincerely wanted to be helpful.
Breakfast was good: sliced meat, eggs, many bread choices, yogurt, cereals, fresh fruits and juices.
Our room was large and comfortable and sparkling clean. It was very cold weather when we were there but our room was warm and comfortable. I asked for an extra pillow and they wanted to know what kind of pillow I prefer, soft or hard! I couldn't believe they cared enough to ask that question.
Nearby is Lotti's, a little place that has gelato, panini, bottled drinks, wine, a bakery, and cooked authentic Italian dishes, either to eat there or take away. Great for a quick meal after a long day of touring.
There is an underground walkway right near the hotel, and it was very convenient (and dry) to walk toward the Spanish Steps, especially since it snowed when we were there.
This is one of the hotels that GreenLine Tour Company designates as a pick-up hotel, so if you book tours, GreenLine tours will pick you up right in the lobby of the hotel, and you won't have to walk anywhere to find them.
WiFi is unreliable in the room but there is a direct LAN connection that gives you 100% internet access all the time. The lobby has a WiFi connection and a printer too.

Room Tip: Our room was on the fifth floor and very quiet at night.

My sister and I started our Tour in Rome and stayed at the Hotel Victoria. It was Centrally located and made our stay VERY convenient for sight seeing. The staff was VERY Friendly, and always asked if we needed maps or needed any fun ideas for the day! The breakfast was DELICIOUS and we always ate so much we didnt even need to eat lunch! This together with the Perillo Tours made for a very memorable trip. The Tour leader was like family and we all found ourselves joking and laughing and singing even on the bus! We met so many people and made lifelong friends especially with this sweet couple which resides in NY and we cant thank Perillo Tours enough for bringing us all together! I Highly reccomend going on a Perillo Tours, you will be Happy you did!

My husband and I travelled to Italy last month and were completely blown away. Every recommendation given to us by Perillo Tours was top notch from the restaurants, to the hotel, to the activities. The food was to die for, the hotel was gorgeous and in the perfect location, and our tour guide, Paola, was great! We could not have asked for a better trip. We will definitely be using Perillo Tours again in the future - it's the way to go!

Excellent ck. in. Friendly, happy poritiere. Room was small, but very cozy. Washroom and Bidet was on one side and huge shower on the other side of the room with lots of glass and chrome. Very clean and shiny. Beautiful crisp and clean linen towels.
Very unique elevator, enough room for 2 people at a time.
Breakfast was marvelous, fresh and presentation was beautiful. Lovely ceramic bowls and plates and large platters.
We really enjoyed it and will go back when we go to Italy next year.
