“An excellent escape from the hustle and bustle”

If you can spare four hours whilst in Rome, this is a lovely way to see the real Rome. The tour is interesting and fun and the food is delicious. The guides Luna and Kenny are passionate and enthusiastic and make you feel very welcome. A must for anybody who likes to experience local life away from the tourists.

“A must-do! Great guides, great food!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 April 2012

This tour cannot be recommended highly enough. Great idea to place it in a less touristic neighbourhood, great topic to talk about food. The tastings were all "buonissimo", the tour guides Domenico and Kenny super enthusiastic and fun. And even cultural aspects were touched (mountain of amphoras, slaughter house, cemetery for foreigners including the tomb of the poet John Keats). The gelato lesson in the end makes you the expert in choosing the best gelateria in Rome during the rest of your stay in Rome. So in one sentence: book the tour!

“Highly recommended food tour”

Kenny and Domenico took us to the Testaccio neighborhood of Rome which you will never visit as a tourist. We love the food chosen for tasting and the market we visited, you can really feel their connection with the stall keepers at the market, very warm and friendly feeling. Duration is perfect and it is really good for starting your trip in Rome as they will let you know restaurants you should visit while you are in Rome, we are so glad that we joined the tour the day after our arrival. 4 hours food and walking tour is very well organized and well deserve us for spreading out the words.

“A must-see tour for every foodie vising Rome”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 March 2012

My boyfriend and I attended this tour and the whole experience was definitely a highlight of our trip to Rome. Kenny and Luna (tour guides) lead us around Piazza Testaccio, Rome's most important marketplace, which is off-the-beaten path of most attractions and one of the most interesting and vibrant neighborhoods in the city. We ate buffalo mozzarella, Italian pastries, local pasta dishes, and gelato- everything was delicious and truly authentic. We were introduced to local merchants who have been in business throughout many generations and are vital to Rome's fresh food supply. Our tour guides were funny, informative, engaging and knew many people in the area along with the history of Italian food. We also visited some historical spots near the Piazza that we would have never noticed if we visited ourselves. We both loved the area so much, we returned the next day to taste the food one more time and to stroll around the marketplace. I would recommend this tour for everyone who has a passion for food and wants to gain inspirational knowledge of Rome cuisine.

“It should be as much a Rome essential as visiting the Coliseum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 March 2012

When in Rome do as the Romans do and this tour allows you eat like the Romans do and what a wonderfull experience it is . The two guides are obviously passionate about the food and the area they work in as they have a great knowlege about both. This is not a tour for food snobs but a chance to taste the best Rome can offer in a light hearted and informal manner .Both guides went out of there way to ensure that all participents got the maximum out of this tour and by the end, it seemed that everyone had been friends for years .Favourite part has to be the visit to Berberinis, the Cornetto and Tiramiso is to die for.
