Free, no queuing and amazing for something almost 2000 years old. Situated in small square you don't see it till you are upon it. Very grey outside (what wouldn't be after amount of time) you just go in and admire the building itself. Built with a gap in the roof to let rain IN which drains away through tiny holes in floor (just missed the shower - would have loved to see that in effect). You may also find a remembrance ceremony taking place or a visiting choir bursting into song unexpectedly.
Go now as a small entrance fee is apparently under consideration soon.

It's an impressive structure! No need for guide. Just read about it before you go and you'll figure it out once there. It is part of history and a great landmark in Rome. The square around it is pleasant to sit and have coffee afterwards. Go see it once in Rome, it'll be on your way anyway.

The is a confusion about the time it was built- 27 AD by Agrippa or 126 by Hadrian, who, probably kept much of the original concept, but, either way, it is old,and one has to wonder how they did it. Since this temple has been converted to its present function as a church, it is free, like all other churches in Rome

We actually just walked past the first time as the queue looked really big but sucked it up and committed the second day - well the “queue” was really just the result of a bottle neck getting in and took 3 minutes tops. No fee to go in and wow, the inside is spectacular and unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. An absolute must in Rome.

Breath taking we stayed at a little place around the corner, you can walk to Piazza Novona...first time in Rome. The Pantheon has a completely different atmosphere at night!
