The owners of Gaius are probably the friendliest and most welcoming people we have met in Rome. We were pleasantly surprised to find them waiting for us with open doors and immediately offering us coffee and juice. Their introduction of the rooms and facilities were also clear and thorough, to the point of teaching us how to handle the tricky door locks. They also suggested some wonderful yet affordable places to eat around the area.
In terms of the room conditions, it was -as the owner would say- perfecto! I wouldn't be exaggerating to say that the room had hotel standards, just without the air-conditioning and ensuite bathroom. The shared bathroom was also very clean and well equipped, same goes for the kitchen where one can feel free to use anything there as if it were your home. Only minor complaint was that the oven and stove wasn't working and we couldn't heat our leftover pizza for dinner. But that could be due to safety reasons as they're not around most of the time, in case a fire breaks out.
Overall stay was wonderful, we really would like to thank them for their great hosting and delicious breakfast every morning!More
