The views, the gardens, the atmosphere, all of it was fantastic. We were only able to give it a couple of hours, but its not nearly enough for this fantastic place. Take good walking shoes and the little train ride inside the park.

You could spend a whole day there in good weather. There is always some attraction, besides the Galleria Borghese, the Etruscan Museum of Villa Giulia, the zoo, the equestrian center and the temple of Esculapio...to name the most important places.
Must see!

Fabulous green space - and home to the Galleria - my favourite piece of culture in Rome

Surrounded by lovely gardens, this villa is a monument to the genius or Renaissance italy. BOOK YOUR TICKETS BY PHONE IN ADVANCE and be early for they will take all your bags and you may have to queue. You then have two hours to fill your boots. Marvel at the Bernini sculptures and six Caravaggios collected by Cardinal Scippio.

We had a fantastic walk. There were loads of dogs out having a great time. The snow was still lying around so we had a " bit of a play in it". We didn't bother with the zoo at the top.
