Lots of tourists and lots of street artist or vendors and shops did not waste the atmosfere of this magic place, Trastevere is a must visit in the night of Rome. Go and have dinner (outside in a tiny courtyard on summer) at restaurant IL DUCA, you will love it (better to book in advance!)

After a day filled with 10 hrs of walking, I pushed myself and my daughter to get to this neighborhood after reading that this was where you can find cheap but good food, and an authentic local neighborhood. While it is true the coffee was mush cheaper here than in Rome proper, it was not worth the trip. The meal we had was average, nothing special, and the man at the counter of the coffe bar we stopped at was rude and made it very clear that he despised American tourists. So not worth the effort to get to this neighborhood!!

This is a place everyone should visit when in Rome. Charming small shops sending exquisite products, wonderful restaurants, a bohemian atmosphere. Don't forget to visit the Polvere di Tempo, a wonderful shop in Via del Moro 59 - where the owner enchants you with his clever conversation and kindness.

A fabulous little place full of history, you are able to sit outside a little cafe on the small streets & watch the world go by. Very friendly & relaxed.

The cafes & restaurants were all very reasonably priced (some of the best prices we saw in Rome) In the evening a great place to have a few drinks it was buzzing with atmosphere
