We bought caneloni with cream wrapped in chocolate pastry:wonderful and creamy!! The people here are not pushy and let you do your own thing. Very friendly too!

What a truly wonderful deli with great staff. A proper Aladdins cave of good things to eat. The cakes were just fabulous. A real pleasure to go into a place like this and have a look at all things Italian. Good for a browse as staff so eager to please.

The most of the tourists at Piazza Della Rotonda spent their time staying in the line for Pantheon. It is a great ancient monument, an example of Rome architectural marvel. But this review is about another place which worth dropping in once one feels thirsty or hungry there. It is Al Pantheon Pizzicheria Romana which is supposed to kill a visitor by an abundance of Italian cuisine. Just at the entrance some of the
Al Pantheon Pizzicheria Romana is both a shop and a small café. The point is that everything could be tasted before buying there: cheese, prosciutto, olives… You can even try some small pieces just at the entrance – and sometimes it would have been enough to satisfy hunger. But the best solution is to go inside anyway to comprehend how deep Italian cuisine philosophy is.
The signature dish is like cold cuts selection which is to combine with Moretti beer or any red Italian wine. As to wine: the guys who work there are like both consultants and sommeliers. So, ask for their advise in a brave way being sure to be received something which is really delicious.
On that very day Damiano turned out to be our guide through the land of parmesan and prosciutto. The red Sicilian (or Toscana? ) he offered us made us be confident to be back for both Pantheon and Pizzicheria Romana.

The salumeria is a strong alternative to lunch at a restaurant. With the help of the friendly staff you can choose to have a platter or a panino with San Daniele hama or Porchetta or try pepper salami or other meats. Try various cheeses as the Taleggio or Gorgonzola....A festa of Italian culinary delicacies...

This place is amazing and offers free samples of their meats and cheeses. The staff is great and super friendly and helpful. I bought a lot of this great meat to take to London with me as I couldn't leave it behind. They will vacuum pack your meats and cheeses if you would like. It made it super easy for travel. DEFINITELY STOP IN WHEN VISITING THE PANTHEON.
