We only spent one night at this hotel. It was clean and safe with a cool vibe. The breakfast was pretty good too. It is a short walk to the museum and it has a great cafe next door to the entrance that offers a 10% discount to guests. It is a bit pricey for what you get at 180 euros/night for a small room with no view. My hair dryer kept stopping which was frustrating and there was a bad smell coming from the bathroom in the morning that started to subside. Other than that it was fine so I will give it the benefit of the doubt and a 4 out of 5.

My wife and I spent nights at this hotel in Naples on both the front and back ends of our recent two-week trip to Southern Italy and were pleased with our choice. The TA reviews can be trusted. The hotel is clean and pleasant and well priced, the morning breakfast nicely done. Like other spots in the old city center, the hotel is not easy to drive to, with some taxis backing down a one-way street to deliver you, others dropping you and your bags off in a piazza nearby. The area abounds with college students making merry, and cafes and shops are everywhere, but rooms in the hotel stay quiet enough to sleep in and some of the rooms have really great views--both of ours did.

Piazza Bellini excels in location (heart of Centre Istorico), service (friendliness & helpfulness of staff, inc spot-on restaurant recommendations), the rooms (comfortable & well- laid out), the public spaces (small bar-lobby with 3 Internet pc's & lovely spacious courtyard), and the value for the price (in part because Naples is not a huge tourist city).
We spent two nights in the deluxe 2-level room. Very quiet, high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling double doors. We spent all our time upstairs (bedroom w/TV, bathroom. We really didn't need the 1st level (sofa-bed & another tv). Great space if traveling with kids.
We then moved to a balcony room with a great city view. The living space was smaller than the 2-level but the balcony was huge. So worth the extra cost, except in winter, perhaps.
I strongly disagree with those who suggest skipping Naples altogether. Yes, it is not real clean and has a gritty feel to it. But it is vibrant, and there are many things to see and do, fr. Museums to music to great restaurants. And countless streets full of interesting shops. The buffet breakfast was very good; we did not eat in their regular restaurant.

Should you find yourselves in Naples and are looking for a modern, quite quirky but quiet hotel then this is a good place to stay. From the price to the room itself we had no complaints. Situated in the old quarter near to the lively bars and restaurants the area around the hotel is a little scruffy whist the hotel is situated behind a security gate but don't let that put you off. There is a courtyard which is an oasis of calm and a lovely place to sit and have a drink. Our room on the top floor was fairly spacious for a city hotel. Situated to the rear of the property it was very clean and quiet & it had a rooftop terrace with partial views out over the city and Vesuvius. Breakfast was included and the buffet choice was vast. The staff were very friendly and efficient and due to the fact we had booked directly with the hotel we had a free drink each and a packet of pasta! We only stayed for one night but should we return to Naples then we would consider staying here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a top floor room to the rear of the property or one with a terrace.

This hotel is great very unique branding which I loved! My clever girlfriend booked this place on our last stop of our Italy trip! The location is great very near a lot of great restaurants. In fact I had the best pizza of my life about a 10min walk from this place ( see my other reviews if interested). The hotel rooms are great and share the cool style of the lobby and hallway! Great shower and good sized bathroom. Had the classic two singles pushed together to make a double which every where in Italy seems to have, so I can't really judge it on that! The breakfast was also a real highlight! Great selection, great pastries and cakes! Certainly the best breakfasts we had on our travels of Italy! The staff were also very friendly! If in Naples I couldn't recommend this place enough! Easy 5 star review and very reasonably priced!
