This is a great hotel for a short or extended stay. Comfortable beds in well furnished rooms with a pleasant outlook of the pool if your room is at the rear. Breakfast is very good. Probably one of the best hotel breakfasts we've had in Italy out of nine hotels. Also, the staff are all friendly and helpful.
Perhaps the only negative is that it is situated on the very busy Corso Italia. The traffic noise is not a problem as the windows are double glazed , it's the pollution. The scooters, buses cars etc make walking down the road unpleasant and for those with respiratory problems, as my travelling companion found out. As the hotel has no restaurant, one is obliged to walk to restaurants at times when traffic is bad. This can be most uncomfortable. I realise this is not the fault of the hotel, but something some guests might like to take into consideration before booking here or at other hotels situated on Corso Italia.
Nevertheless I would highly recommend the Hotel Gardenia despite this.More
