We stayed in this amazing place for 6 days and wish we had booked 60.....if you are looking for a heaven on earth that blends a sense of peace and serenity with easy access to the wonderful Amalfi coast look no further ... This place has it all...great views, great infinity pool ....wonderful surroundings and sea views, amazing food, terrific wine, and you can even use your iPad at the pool.....though you probably shouldn't because this is a place for peace and total relaxation and the staff go out of their way to ensure your absolute pleasure....there is a true sense of love and family about the Villa Lupara ......we found love and peace around every corner and will never forget this very special place...it will stay in our hearts forever...thank you Rob and Denise x
Ps I don't think that the other reviews I have read about this place can be talking about the same place we visited....if they are then I feel really sorry for their writers....they really didn't get it !

We,a family of 4, were booked into Mansarda apartment for 1 week but after 1 night we left to chance our luck anywhere but at Villa Lupara. The view is amazing but could not make up for all of the faults of this property. We were given instructions on how to get to the property but these should have included 'turn into the villa right next to the pile of rubbish'. Our first experience of the staff was cold and unwelcoming. The promise of the Mansarda apartment was great after many emails with Lena. It was in fact up a fire escape, an exceptionally dark loft with poor fittings the best of these being from Ikea, it was on a par with poor student accommodation. The bedrooms and the bathrooms having glass doors and affording no privacy to any family member. The BBQ was exceptionally dirty and the patio was not a pleasant place to sit. RULES everywhere about what we could not do. No food/drink by the pool, no going in the pool for 3 hours after eating, not to make any noise between 2-4pm. Signs everywhere about not having picnics. Labels on the pool beds about which ones we as a family were allowed to sit on. Rules in the apartment about not making a noise - or jumping on the furniture - really we are not nursery children! We were told that the room had wifi - but it did not, when I complained I was told that theirs was fine and anyway my husband should be on holiday and not checking his emails. We feel that we made a fantastic decision to escape the morning after we arrived, we were so desperate to get away that we left in peak season with no other accommodation booked, life is too short to waste a week in such a nasty place as Villa Lupara.

We stayed in Villa Lupara for a week with 2 other families in Gemello 2, Lenox and Forno. We never found back the welcome and the warmness of other agriturismi we experienced in Ombria and Toscana. It is more managed as an hotel with all its limitations and flexibility constrains and without personalization of the stay.
Positive points : nice landscape, good position to visit the Amalfi Coast and the surrounding locations of interest, employees very friendly and looking for finding solutions to our problems, bedrooms are nice.
Negative points : (1) no possibility to cook yourself : material in the room/flats not adapted at all (not even a plate or a glass per occupant, no convenient electrical connection for the oven, no light in the kitchen, ...) (2) no possibility to group ourselves in an area to take our lunch, there is definitely no area for picnic or for taking a drink you could use without seeing new signs appearing all the time to restrict more and more our freedom (3) unadapted rules around the pool (some people coming from outside being better treated than us, you can not use any beverage or food from oustide, but you have to buy it at their bar) (4) always having the feeling that we were observed (5) food was quite good but expensive compared to what you can find in the restaurants in the neighborhood and especially in Vietri sul Mare or Salerno (30% cheaper) (6) We spent 2 awful nights caused by an early wake-up at 6:00 due to a motorized equipment being used into the vineyard or due to barking dogs in the close vicinity (7) some rules are given but not even respected by the owner (3 dogs coming close to the pool, leisure unflatable equipment used in the pool, ...) (8) the breakfast is very repetitive and the buffet is more than reduced (no bread, no tomatoes or cheese, no eggs, no hot chocolate, ...)

You have to drive around 15 minutes to reach Salerno, meaning that is a long journey if you want to eat outside or even to go to the beach. We have to say that the close surrounding is not very nice with many waste along the road

It is clear that for the price (150 euros per night) as an average, you can find really better accomodations with a better location. Especially for the biggest flat (LENOX), it is a worth value solution (1500 euros for a week, twice we paid in other agritursimi).

As a summary, we do not recommend you even to stay one night there. certainly not if you want to be free to eat in or out and if you are travelling with other friends.

Nice place, probably better in summer than in spring. We had a nice appartment, with two bedrooms and living room with kitchenette. Food is fine, though not excellent. Their own wine(without sulfites) is terrific. Perfect place for trips to Napoli, Pompeii, Amalfi coast and surroundings. With a view over the hills and the Mediterranean Sea. Probably best to visit in summer, because they have a nice swimming pool. Cava and Salerno are nearby and fine for shopping or a drink.

Beautifully positioned restaurant / hotel above Salerno offering wonderful hospitality food wine and a great view. Rooms are large with big bathroom and sitting room. Fabulous pool and well worth having dinner there too. Well sign posted just off the autostrada with a ten /fifteen minute drive up a winding road into the hills.
