We visited here after reading the reviews in trip advisor and we weren't disappointed. After an interesting walk through the narrow cobbled streets of the town town and close attention to Google maps we found the restaurant tucked away definitely off the beaten track! No casual diners here! People go here because they have read about the restaurant and appreciate fresh local food cooked with care and attention. We were warmly welcomed by John and the menus explained to us with knowledge and pride. We shared the Tasty Selection starter - it probably sounds much more romantic in Italian! A plate a three cold and three hot amuse bouche. The prawn fritter was so delicious it deserves special mention. Then a seafood risotto that was creamy with rice that still had bite and followed by mixed fried fish- prawns, calamari and octopus, lightly battered and not overcooked. John recommended a gerwerztraminer wine. We had coffee outside on the street on two wooden chairs. It was a truly fabulous experience. There were four other couples dining in the small restaurant and it felt exclusive and at the same time totally relaxed. The restaurant ordered our taxi and showed where to walk to get it - down on to the Main Street where a busier crowd were eating pizza in a row of the usual busier restaurants - we felt we had experienced something a bit special! The bill came to 60 euros and was worth every cent. Make the effort to find this small restaurant and you won't be disappointed!
