Previously to arriving in Atrani, we had stayed in two very modern hostels in (A&O)Venice and (Plus)Florence.
This hostel is the opposite of those hostels. It is very traditional Italian decor, and the layout of the hostel is very unusual. But that is part of the charm.
It is a very old building which could be hard to maintain to a modern standard. I think trying to modernise it would ruin the hostels appeal.
The guys that run the hostel are lovely and really looked after us and made us feel very welcome, they work extremely hard.
Breakfast was a lovely surprise, coffee, juice, bread and croissant. All lovely but the same everyday.
Atrani is a lovely little town, had a really great local feel. The beach was great and the restaurants were all lovely.
The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the intense church bells! Which go off at 6am so no lay in. But it’s all part of the experience. More
