Carved out of a mountain that dips into the sea this tucked away hotel is private and magical! Lemon trees fill your path from your room to the pool. Our second time there ! The service and food are five star

We spent four amazing nights at the Santa Caterina Hotel. The location was perfect, just a few minutes walk to town or a shuttle provided by the hotel. The views were stunning. The entire staff made us feel special, from those greeting us when we arrived to the pool staff, housekeeping and transportation. They can arrange private transportation by sea or car to any location or provide information for tours and local transport as well. The restaurant staff took care of our every wish. They even arranged a beautiful cake for us on our anniversary. It is a beautiful coastal restaurant, simple, yet elegant. Thank you to the entire staff for a trip of a life time.

Room tip: The rooms have outstanding views. Room 22 has a very large terrace to relax and enjoy.

This was my first stop on a 12 day holiday to the Amalfi Coast and the pick up from Naples airport was easy and the Drive was very pleasant and the first impression of the hotel is wow a very beautiful exterior. Check in was easy with a lovely warm welcome and my room was elegant and spacious with a lovely terrace. I was a so traveller and everywhere I went in the hotel I was treated with respect and warmth. There is only coffee making machine in the room so I requested a kettle however they took the cups away each day so I had to request them each day not an issue. Complimentary yoga, lovely pool area. Staff in the main restaurant were amazing and the breakfast was extensive and varied. I found the walk to Amalfi easy but the town was very touristy. Would definitely stay here again

we spend couple of nights at Santa Caterina Hotel. The room was very clean. It had nice view of the sea and the coast. The rooms are specious. The service was excellent. Convenient parking is available which is a must in Amalfi coast. 10 minutes walk to town.
Highly recommended.

Two weeks ago, we spent three nights at the Santa Caterina in Amalfi (and the three following nights at the Palazzo Avino in Ravello) (see).
The Santa Caterina, even in what is called in Amalfi at “low season” (beautiful spring-like weather, sparse crowds – perfect), is distinguished by its breathtaking location just outside the bustle of Amalfi. It is spread out on the steep cliffs. Mostly, the elevator in the lobby which leads to the rooms goes down. Our beautiful ocean-facing suite was on -2.
The facility is outstanding. The view breathtaking, from the terrace and from the room. But it probably was not necessary to have our own terrace. There are so many places from the dining room to the pool at the ocean level, to the poolside restaurant one level above, etc. to sit and soak up the view, including views of the hotel’s terraced gardens and lemon groves, in seemingly full bloom as early as mid-April.
What most animates the hotel beside its stunning location and first class facility, built in many stages over many decades, is the staff. Person for person, it is probably the most enthusiastic, friendly, helpful and genuine staff we have ever encountered. They are good at their jobs and seemingly happy to have them, and proud of where they work. This is a winning combination, obvious in the mix of informality and professionalism at every turn.
This is a great hotel and we were pleased to stay there.
