Came in here during our circular walk from Arure. It was a damp misty day so we were pleased to find the cafe open. Inside its mainly large tables, once sat down staff come to take your orders. We just had a tea and a coffee, they weren't as hot as we would have liked. Did try a bit of cake that a friend had bought and this tasted very good. Selection of locally made produce for sale.

Stopped here for a coffee break while walking nearby. Lovely coffee, delicious home made cake from a family recipe and a very tasty drink made from lemons and palm honey. As we left, the owner gave our leader a bag of home roasted nuts to sustain us along the way.

Like everyone is saying, you come here to eat the same menu that has been served for over 40 years so you just choose your drinks and sit back waiting for food to come.

We were greeted and seated by the owner herself who shared with us her amazing spirit and kindness. Everything is family-ran here so if the service sometimes seems slow or sloppy take that into consideration and just enjoy the ride.

The food itself was delicious and served in generous portions so overall it was a lovely experience.

Don’t go expecting a huge choice - just go and enjoy the experience of this lovely family run place where the food is delicious and all homemade including the wine.

We stayed in their little farmhouse as well
and it was very clean and comfortable.

Both are recommended!

This place is simplicity at its finest. The menu is set: bread, almagrote, watercress soup, bean pass, salad, and mojo sauce. But everything is superb in its simplicity. The owner has apparently been making this menu for 40+ years and has perfected it. A lovely stop after hiking in the National
Park.
