Our tour spent the night at this hotel. It was terrible! The hotel is very outdated and run down. The carpets in the hallway are terribly stained and threadbare in a lot of places. The beds feel like bricks and the pillow (they give you one) is about 1/2" thick. The bed linen consist of a top sheet and paper-thin bedspread. They offer a blanket in the closet. It looked filthy so we didn't use it.

The shower is the bathroom was cracked and had mold on it. The hotel did not offer shampoo, conditioner or body lotion.

The reception on the tv was poor. The refrigerator in our room did not work. Most of the other tour guest said they did not have a refrigerator.

Our tour had a planned dinner in the restaurant. The servers were actually taking away our salad plates , and then dinner plates, before we were finished eating. I actually had my fork in my hand, still eating, and they took my plate away. The servers were scraping the plates right next to our table. We could not hear the conversation with the others because of the noise they were making.

The servers were extremely rude.

Our tour driver said this was the first and last time they would stay at this hotel.

Stayed here for two nights for a short break to visit sights in Valencia.

The hotel is perfectly fine for the price you pay and the hotel looked nice and was clean throughout. Our room had a view across the main road out to the sea.

Some points you need to be aware of though such as you need a car to get anywhere. You cannot walk to the beach as there is a main road in the way (unless you wish to play chicken). However if you go across the roundabout and over the bridge there is a beach there and we found it really easy to park right next to it and the beach was very quiet.

Also parking in the evening can be a nightmare - you have to pay extra to park but it doesn't look like they enforce this and we had to create our own parking space one night.

You have a supermarket behind the hotel but you cannot access this easily - you need to walk along side a main road on a dirt path which also has water the other side - not great when its dark.

This hotel is in the middle of nowhere (apart from a supermarket and Macdonalds) and there are no transport links, your only option to get to Valencia centre is a car or a 20 Euro taxi ride each way-taxi drivers were all quite amused that we were so far out from the centre and one commented the hotel is nearer Barcelona! . Not sure why someone said its a nice walk to the train station as it really isn't (walk next to a busy road) and the 2 minute beach is impossible to get to as you need to cross the equivalent of a motor way! On hotel/travel sites it seems the hotel is sold as a holiday one, but it is really only suitable for a passing through or business travellers-probably the equivalent of a travel lodge in the UK.
We didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on that, most people looked like they got food from the nearby supermarket as did we. Staff at hotel mostly friendly and helpful, could have just been a language thing for those that appeared less helpful. They were quick to sort out problems-the safe batteries in our rooms were dead and a repair was virtually instant. If you are looking for a base for a trip to Valencia I would not recommend this hotel purely for it's poor location, there are plenty nearer and Valencia itself is well worth a visit.

We booked this hotel through Expedia. We searched for a hotel that was close to the beach in Valencia. Expedia specifically described this as "close to the beach". It was a 36 euro taxi ride from the airport and seemed a long way away from Valencia to us plus there was no sign of a beach. When we checked in we asked how to get to the beach. We were told that we couldn't get to the beach as it was too dangerous to walk there - it meant crossing a motorway. It also turned out that the nearby beach was literally a bit of sand - no sunbeds or any other facilities. The only way to get to a tourist beach was by car or taxi. We also asked about how to get into the centre of Valencia. The hotel staff told us that we needed a car. When we said we didn't have a car the guy on the desk shrugged his shoulders. We pointed out that on earlier trip adviser reviews it said we could walk to a train station. He said that was also too dangerous as it meant walking along busy roads with no footpath. There is no bus service close by - very unusual for Spain.

So we ended up paying over 20 euros each way every time we wanted to go to the centre of Valencia or a decent beach. We had intended to go to Valencia by day, return to hotel to get changed then go back again but that would have been just too expensive (80 euros a day). We ended up hanging around the hotel pool in the day and just going to Valencia at night on a couple of days and on two other days going to the beach but staying there until late at night - not ideal in wet swimwear. As it was we spent over 160 euros on taxis during our 4 night break. In order to compensate for this we made our own packed lunches and made do with yogurts from the supermarket next door for breakfast. So we cannot tell you what the hotel food is like - we couldn't afford it!!!!!

The supermarket next door is the only good thing about the location. There are no restaurants within walking distance unless you count the Mcdonalds!

It isn't just Expedia who claims the location is better than it actually is. The websites for the chain (S H hotels), the hotel itself along with hotels.com to name a few all say convenient for the beach and for travel into Valencia. I'm surprised they don't also say you can see the pyramids - that wouldn't be any less truthful! A bit like Jeremy Corbyn's money tree!!!!

Anyway the hotel is very clean and comfortable and the staff on reception do their best to be helpful with sometimes limited English. Rooms are similar to a Travelodge/Premier Inn in England - but no tea making facilities. We were glad we took our own. The pool is small but very clean.

If you have a car there is no problem. But if you do not want to hire a car and you are looking for a break in Valencia I would book a hotel in the city itself and not use this hotel.

Room Tip: We were on the fourth floor and our rooms were not noisy.

The room and hotel are pretty basic but nice. Room was a good size and it was all nice and clean. But it is in the middle of no where. Despite looking right next to the beach on the map, there is actually a motorway in between which you can not cross on foot. There are also no restaurants in walking distance and the hotels food is not amazing. We ended up renting a car for the rest of our stay once we realised this. That said, the staff were all really nice and the pool was good.
