“Beautiful views”
Review of Alicante Mountains

You should walk up to the castle that's located right in the centre of Alicante. The view is amazing!

My partner and I travelled to meet the DoYouWanna guys near Alicante for a tandem jump.
We met at a local petrol station and were led to the take-off point by car. Everything was set up and explained and off we went! (we took it in turns - but there were 5 other people flying at the same time!)
We had an amazing time, really enjoyed ourselves, the views were fabulous!
Would highly recommend these guys, they really knew what they were doing and made us feel like part of the group :o)
The only Paragliding place I could find nearby that spoke English too, which was a great help!
THANK YOU DOYOUWANNA!

for me... one of the best places in Spain for paragliding... but one has to have the eyes to see the beauty of the region.... with the help of Nick Pollet and his team one gets to see the old with the new and how its grown... Doyouwanna not only wants you to get the best from the region but to experience what is left with the old Spain... the weather and the food are very healthy for the soul... for us paragliding pilots its more than just many sites to choose from and from a paragliding point of view the region has produced some of the best pilots in the world...

Just a short drive inland from the coast you will discover a wonderful area in which to walk and explore. Beautiful quiet valleys and ridges. I always stay in Quatretondeta and opt for guided walking with mountainwalks - a great setup and marvellous food. Returning again this year.

Alicante in southern Spain is worthy your visit both by its own value, and as starting point if you are considering exploring southern Spain. Beautifully situated between sea and mountains, the city features a impressive old fort Castillo Santa Barbara, offering fantastic views in every direction. The climb to the top of the cliff where Castillo Santa Barbara was placed hundreds of years ago provide good exercise and great photos.
After having made it back to the city again, take a stroll on the promenade down by the waterfront, where yachts lay in the harbor and a row of restaurants offer cold beers and traditional Spanish food. Then head on through the city's old quarter where old buildings stand proudly along narrow streets and small stores, bars and cafés offer both entertainment and peace.
If you have time enough, Alicante is surrounded by interesting attractions, easily reached by rental car or tour bus. One of the closest is the small mountain village Guadalest, north of Alicante, which daring Moorish founders built on top of a steep cliff. Tourists swarm the place, but a visit here is nevertheless a fine experience.
