Great hotel - returned for the second time and probably will return again - the staff are excellent - the extra 'health' measures are reassuring in these difficult times, I have stayed here on both business and pleasure

The hotel is a great location to see the sights of Cartagena and the surrounding areas . However, parking everywhere is expensive and the best deal we got for parking nearby was €95 for a week so cost can mount up .
We stayed on a B&B basis and the breakfasts are excellent with plenty of fresh fruits , breads, cereals and cooked items - couldn’t fault it .
Our room had some issues however ; although it was a no smoking hotel , there was a very strong smell of smoke on the 3rd floor and although we mentioned it , it didn’t improve . The air conditioning and extraction fan wasn’t working in our room .
The room and the hotel was very clean , however , with cleaning bedding and towels every day . The room had a useful fridge .

Great location but definitely not worth 4 stars. The rooms were extremely hot and the hotel basically told us (group of 16 rooms) to open the windows but then the noise outside doesn’t allow for a good night sleep. The doors don’t have a silent closing system so everyone just keeps slamming them until about 3am and then the cleaning staff resumes at 6am slamming doors and communicating extremely loudly not respecting customers at all. I stayed a working week and have never slept this badly. The last night I didn’t sleep at all due to the heat and noise levels. It’s just unacceptable. The rooms are tired; wall paper peeling off and taps in showers (I’m speaking for all people in our group) that are loose. Most reception and restaurant staff are lovely but their knowledge of English is appalling. Breakfast is very nice and divers but the restaurant is very clinical and uninviting. I would look elsewhere next time if I needed to stay in Cartagena.
