“5 Star Luxury for a fraction of the price”
Reviewed 12 September 2014 for a stay in August 2014

We stayed here from August 21st to September 2nd. We can't thank Steve enough for everything, right from my initial enquiry all emails & questions were answered promptly & helpfully. On arriving at Murcia San Javier airport we called Christine who met us at the apartment to show us round etc. Just like Steve Christine was a star nothing too much trouble. The apartment is fab furnished to a high standard, with extras like Ipod docking stations, BBQ etc. The location is excellent just a few steps from a lovely pool which has lots of different levels & a lovely Jacuzzi making it fab for all ages! We travelled with my sister & her family & my nieces 9 & 7 enjoyed the shallower parts of the pool as much as our boys 14 & 12 loved a late night swim pool is open til 10pm!! About a 5 minute walk to the onsite supermarket not bad prices but we tended to shop at Eroski the hypermarket within the Dos Mares Shopping Centre. If you want to see plenty of the area you will most certainly need to hire a car we hired ours through Centauro & we had no problems at all. We visited this area last year too but stayed at a different resort. Days out that we had this year included a day trip to Terra & Aqua Natura in Benidorm (there is one at Murcia but we chose Benidorm as we used our Tesco Clubcard Vouchers to pay for the entrance tickets the savings made the drive worth it!) it is about 1 hour 30mins drive and cost us about 10 euros in tolls each way! Both parks were good fun, the water park I think the kids could have stayed all day but as we had tickets to the Zoo too we spent 10am -4pm in the waterpark & 4pm to 6.30pm in the Zoo which was long enough to be fair! The Zoo needs a bit of TLC but we all enjoyed it especially the tigers we got some fab photos of them! We also had a day out at Calblanque beach it is about 30 minutes away from la Torre with a bit of a drive through the National Park but so so worth it. The kids loved it as the waves were fab & the sea warm. Other beaches we visited were round the Mar Menor fab for smaller children as no waves & shallow water for a good way out although there were lots of jelly fish when we were there. We went to Los Narejos a lovely beach, plenty of watersport activity & fab sand sculptures! The kids also enjoyed Santiago de la Riberia where they had an inflatable assault course in the sea good value for money too 7 euros for the whole day to come & go as you please or 5 euros per go for as long as you wanted ours did this option & were out there for a good 1.5 hours! But they still said they enjoyed Calblanque the most! Last time we were here we visited Cartagena a beautiful place to visit & Puerto de Mazzaron a bit of a drive but a lovely marina area & beaches we took a glass bottom boat trip from here along the coast. We tended to BBQ at the apartment most nights but we did eat out a few times we went to Los Alcazares a couple of times there is a lovely square that leads on to a street of restaurants it was a hive of activity & we enjoyed both meals we had there our best meal out however was at Toscanas in Roldan a little village just 5 minutes drive from La Torre superb food, service & great value for money would definitely recommend a visit. We found that being a golf resort the site is immaculately maintained & Steve's apartment is first class which all contributed to us feeling like we had a 5 star holiday. I cannot recommend it enough we had a super time. Thank you Steve

“Excellent for pool lovers and relaxing away from the hustle and bustle”
Reviewed 21 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

We stayed here for a week 12th - 19th July. We were met by Christine, the very friendly and helpful key holder.
The apartment was perfect, very clean, plenty big enough for me, my partner and 2 teenage (13 year old) boys.
It is located right next to the pool and is on the ground floor, so easy to nip back and forward throughout the day. Private sun beds provided, so no racing out at 6am to put towels down!!
2 minutes walk to the very well stocked Spar supermarket on site. 2 minutes walk to the resort center, which has bars, restaurants, a driving range, the golf club house etc.
The place is deserted during the day, but that is part of what makes this holiday so relaxing.
We didn't eat in any of the restaurants on site, as we had a car so we travelled to different places to eat. However,, drinks in the Clover (Irish) bar on site are very expensive
Food and drink prices outside the resport are similar to the UK.
Plenty for kids to do in Torrvieja, Water Park, Shopping Boulevards etc.
We are not beach lovers and so we did not go for a day out at the beach. However, we did have a drive down there, just to have a look and it wasn't very pleasant. The sand is a dirty grey colour and it was abolutely packed (Los Alcazares and Lo Pagan). So if it's long stretches of white sand and crystal blue sea you are looking for, this is not for you. It's also a good 20 minute drive and then parking is a nightmare.
Also, the general area is very industrial and not vey attractive to look at (no greenery, stunning scenery etc), which we are used to having after being to the Canary and Balearics for the last several years..
However, we will be coming back to this apartment as it is very good value for money, we loved it's location to the pool area and the airport, plus with cheap car hire you can travel to lots of diffrent places within a very short distance (the roads here are fantastic).
All in all, a great relaxing holiday. The kids have already asked if we can go back!!!

“Lovely apartment close to pool.”
Reviewed 31 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

The apartment was clean and attractively furnished with all we needed to make it a relaxing holiday. It was very close to one of the many pools on La Torre and just a short walk to the supermarket and town centre with a variety of bars and restaurants. We had a lovely time!

“Home from home”
Reviewed 24 August 2013 for a stay in July 2013

This is our 4th trip to La Torre, 2nd time to this apartment and it really does feel like home. The apartment is beautiful, very peaceful and perfect distance from the town centre, shops and pool. It's equipped with everything you need for a family on a self catering holiday and if you want to eat out all the restaurants are really good. The welcome from Christine, the key holder is lovely and she is always so helpful. The weather has always been amazing when we have been there but the air conditioning in the apartment is wonderful to cool you down as is dipping in the pool. We thoroughly recommend this apartment to anyone and will no doubt to returning again
