My husband and I stayed at the hotel for a few days. It was a miserable experience. The room in this "four starts" hotel was missing a shampoo, shower hats, reading lamps, a bar, information on Madrid, telephone directory, and probably many other things I cannot remember about now. I just remember a feeling that the things I needed were not there. I had to ask three times for a shampoo and a hair conditioner; a shampoo was brought eventually, but not a hair conditioner, which I had to purchase in a nearby shop. However, the worst thing was the attitude of the personnel, who seemed to be irritated every time we asked for/about something. Even asking was not an easy task - in front of the reception desk, there were always people standing in line and you had to wait to get an answer to a simple question... If you arrive earlier, there is no chance to get your room before 2 p.m.. We were waiting sitting in the dusty hall and could see that people were checking out, but were told there were no rooms available even at 1:30 p.m. If you do not want to have your stay in Madrid ruined, avoid this hotel.

The Paseo de la Florida is a very busy Street. It is close to the Royal Palace and one place of tourist interest is the Ermita de San Antonio de la Florida, where Goya is buried and where he painted the ceiling.

This would be the aproximate translation. What is interesting is the river close by, the little church that has Goya's painting and grave, and also here i took a stop at Casa Mingo, very good bar and enjoyed a "cidre", alcoholic apple drink.
