This is a great restaurant. Price, quality and service deserve a highest grade. Such a long choice of Spanish homemade plates offered by the maitre that I could not remember all.

All we ordered was fantastic, including wine. And staff always willing to help you. The place is packed with locals, since it is a gem out of the touristic routes.

Will return many times.

I was looking for a restaurant near to my hotel. Alcaravea was 15 minutes walk away. The kitchen opens at 8pm so we had a drink in the bar. There were little plates to keep us going. Cold cuts, cheese and great tasting liver. The meal in the restaurant was very good. There was an excellent ratatouille with eggs ans a special Iberian pork cut with Iberian ham which was excellent. The pork was served with sliced potatoes and pimentos padron. The waiters were friendly recommended some great wines. It was a good rounded experience and well worth a visit especially if you are only in town for one night. They have an English menu if your Spanish is not as good as their English!

I had a lunch there. The traditional lunch menu had several options, and was very good and reasonably priced. Same as the one in Alcala de Henares, it has the warm atmosphere of a family owned restaurant that I appreciate very much. Recommendable for nice lunch!

After a strong recommendation from a colleague, I took 5 people to dinner there last week and was not disappointed.
Great food, particularly the octopus, "explode in the mouth eggs" and the rissoles.
Generous portions of booze too.
I feel the need to pay this forward.
Great place and will definitely go back when I return to Madrid.

We had half-portions of the grilled octopus tentacles, baby monkfish and mixed wild mushrooms. Beautiful food and wonderful service, with someone always checking to make sure we were happy. The portions are enormous and are for sharing.
Really enjoyed this, and plan to go back.
